Vesta: Building a Care Ecosystem

• People with special needs have lack of community support, caretakers who are working for them have no acknowledgement

• No quick help to old age people

• Child care: children in orphanage have less emotional or no proper guidance for career growth

• Caretakers don't have networking opportunities, lack of skills to do better job

• Inadequate training

• No time or work specification

• No trust building

• Fully functional system unavailability

• Loneliness- chat with Vesta approved caretakers or Vesta club members

World Report on Disability 2011 About 15% of the world's population lives with some form of disability, of whom 2-4% experience significant difficulties in functioning. The global disability prevalence is higher than previous WHO estimates, which date from the 1970s and suggested a figure of around 10%. This global estimate for disability is on the rise due to population ageing and the rapid spread of chronic diseases, as well as improvements in the methodologies used to measure disability.

The solution for these problems divided into 4 parts:

A. Caretakers

B. People with special needs

C. Health organizations: Public/ private hospitals, NGO's working on health and people with special needs.

D. Civic/Community involvement

In addition to this, Vesta builds solution for,

1. Travelling: navigation audio system for visual challenged people

2. Vesta checkpoints to help blind people, they will get notification on their device nearby helping points

3. Trainings to caretakers

4. Voluntary participation from common citizens 

For CareTakers:

Building a blockchain based platform, where interested and experienced users will be registered. After that, for experienced people there will be direct interviews will be conducted by retired nurses or practitioners. For novice users there will be 3 -6 months training program will be conducted including training and practical exams. Certificates will be provided after the end of program.

People who will be in need of trained professionals will be in touch, and verified. 

Once a participant satisfies the client’s needs, he/she will be awarded with points and token of appreciation will be given.

- Online based learning and training platform for caretakers.

- Easy access for people with special needs.

- Platform also involves civic participation, voluntary or credit based hourly service.

- Orphan children will have 'Vesta Express' platform to express what they feel, draw or share their interests on the platform

- Vesta mentor for orphan children, either caretakers can also involve or civic involvement.

First of all, I would like to thank entire MIT solve team for bringing out less acknowledged topic. As a responsible citizen, I always feel to giveback to community. Through this challenge, I am willing to develop an easy and worth solution which can benefit millions of people.
