Innovating Prisoner's and their families in Uganda
We are aiming at social integration and support among Prisoners their families and ex-convicts in Uganda, to attain relief and sustainable development
My solution is to support prisoners and their families in Uganda through Prison visits and monitoring
Our Target population are, Prisoners, their families and ex-convicts, not limited to remanded children and refugees
Over the past seven years, the The Uganda National Medical Alliance for Prisoner's Support in cognitive partnership with the Government of the republic of Uganda and relevant partners have been supporting Prisoners their families and ex-convicts in Uganda to attain relief and sustainable development, so we poses the maximum experience in this field
- Establishing care work as a broadly respected profession, including reducing stereotypes around gender roles.
- Concept
Am applying for this solution to improve on the legalized services for people in detention facilities, their families and ex-convicts in Uganda
- Legal or Regulatory Matters
My solution provides a significant impact because it support people in the most marginalized communities, not limited to Prisoners, their families and ex-convicts to participate in communities as useful citizens
This can be catalysed through Prison visits and monitoring, focusing on psychosocial support, health support and referrals, skills development, advocacy and materialistic support
After implementation, I expect self sustainability among Prisoners, their families and ex-convicts , or in lining with the UN goals
This shall be achieved through monitoring and evaluation of all planned activities
My impact goals is to continue supporting Prisoners and their families in Uganda both nationals and foreigners to access justice, relief and sustainable development
This shall be achieved through proper coordinations of all planned activities, engaging partners and networking, ai sharing of information with relevant partners
My progress is measured through monitoring and evaluation of all planned activities, for instance, education programs under Prisoner's children is measured through direct intervention and contacts with head teachers , VHTs, district local Governments, religious leaders and local community members, in this perspective we aim for quality assurance
My theory of change is based on research evidenced programming, being that The Uganda National Medical Alliance for Prisoner's Support is an implementing partner with the Government of the republic of Uganda to support prisoners and their families in Uganda to attain relief and sustainable development under practical evidenced approach to find data and implementation, in this regard, this has made my innovation unique, although it is challenge full to implement because of some norms among the beneficiaries and Government policy
In my solution the power technology is, SMS, power apps that drive bulky information to relevant people and partners and software engineering, however to prevent environmental and climate change, we are also providing inmates with re- usable sanitary materials, these kind of pods can be used up to one year, alot is being done and it's harmless to the environment
- A new technology
This technology works because it's the current technology we are using, this has always been done through the following programs
Introducing new apps and new software engineering
Considering introducing new bulk SMS apps and mobile app application to influence new internet application to ease the job
- Ancestral Technology & Practices
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
