The Women Building Wealth Program is a 6-12 month financial empowerment program to help women learn tips, tools and techniques to gain financial freedom and build generational wealth. With the motto, "Knowledge is Power!" 1000 women will be emerged into this financial education program which will guide them through the importance of shifting their mindset to think like the rich, utilizing a budget to guide their spending, save only for emergency in banks, canceling debit card use for purchases, paying bills with credit cards to raise credit scores, creating their own bank to build wealth, and following the trends to invest money, earn compound interest and participate in the blockchain with cryptocurrency.
The Women Building Wealth Program utilizes a proven system with the programs and process tools implemented by thousands of people around the world. Software created with thousands of people already involved, such as the blockchain, wallet address apps, virtual world platforms (Metaverse), cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens (nfts), and a perpetual banking system.
Finally, the Women Building Wealth Program provides a platform for women to journey their journey to success with the world. Through the "Fabulous Females Phenomenon," women will be spotlighted to share their story. Where they were when they began the journey, how it has impacted their and their family's lives, and how it is changing or has changed their lives. Gender inequality is real! Through financial education, strategies, resources, and strategic financial partnerships, the Women Building Wealth Program will fulfill the vision of Essence of a Lady.
In recent decades, the globe has witnessed progress toward more gender equality, but the rate of change has been unequal, and massive inequities still exist. Significant obstacles still lie in the way of women and girls achieving their full potential. Every year, 15 million females under the age of 18 marry throughout the world. Girls are still less likely than males in certain nations to complete high school. In economic and political decision-making, women and girls are underrepresented.
Women face barriers to equal participation in the formal economy, earn less, and have unequal access to assets and property. They are also 14 percent less likely than men to own a cell phone, and 1.1 billion women remain unbanked. Giving birth is one of the most dangerous days of a woman’s life for millions of women. Inequalities exist in all industries and realms, yet they vary significantly within and across countries.
Technology and financial literacy can be the game changer for women. However, women must be provided opportunities to learn how these tools and resources can change their lives. In 2020,TIAA Institute-GFLEC Personal Finance Index (P-Fin Index) concluded that financial literacy is low in the U.S., including women; and personal financial knowledge was lower among underrepresented minority women, African American and
Hispanic women, compared with white women.
In 2021, The Detroit Free Press eluded that proficiency levels in financial literacy, technology and computing occupations remains low among women. Remember, girls learn from women.
Although the world is moving toward gender equality and women are graduating with degrees in finance, business and law more than ever before, there is still a need for women to become financially free to build generational wealth in this ever changing world. The Women Building Wealth Program will connect women small business owners and key stakeholders such as investors, local policymakers, and mentors with the relevant experience to improve coordination of funding for their businesses; allow collaboration with local, national, and global leaders in the financial world; and leverage their knowledge bases within the small business ecosystem. Through the utilization of a proven system which teaches them financial literacy, they will learn how to become financially free to build generational wealth and get paid to teach others. Then, through our philanthropic network, they will throw the rope back and teach girls.
Professional and enterprising black and other women of color between 20 and 65 years old with means to dedicate one year to learn how to budget, save for emergency, invest in assets, learn about compounding interest, cryptocurrency and protecting their families with the most valuable types of life insurance is the targeted population. These women are currently underserved because they lack access, support and financial backing more than their white peers. FINCA believes due to limited knowledge about finance and financial products.... women do not have access to banking and financial services, which keeps them out of the financial markets. Through Essence of a Lady, I have spent over 33 years understanding women needs through engagement, collaboration and support. I have mentored small business and startups for over 30 years. At the beginning of 2022, I engaged a select group of women in the Women Building Wealth Beta Program. I created a Facebook community and Groupme chat for support and communication. I post questions and tips on video reel in Instagram. I engage in conversations in other social media groups. When women have a clear and concise system to help them become financially literate, they can gain financial freedom and build generational wealth. This, in turn will help girls learn how to emulate them.

The Beta Program has 8 women and 2 men located in Florida, Georgia, and California.
The mission is to educate, mentor, and empower females with professional, leadership, and social skills so that they can graduate from high school, continue their education, and/or start their own business. As girls become women and graduate from high school, those who aspire to join our mentorship and apprenticeship program will benefit by being matched with one of the small business owners in our philanthropic network. Through the charity of professional and enterprising women, the objective is that all women and girls will achieve and maintain maximum health and prosperity. The Women Building Wealth Program is designed to help women sustain their small businesses and throw the rope back to those aspiring to have a business.
Essence of a Lady's mission is to educate, mentor and empower youth with leadership, career and social skills to graduate from high school and pursue further studies or become entrepreneurs. Adults, especially women, have been the guiding force to support this mission through philanthropy for over 33 years. Women created a framework for this to happen when we began meeting monthly to support each other's business endeavors, we began fundraising activities to provide support and resources to pregnant girls in a group facility. The short term benefit proved to boost their self-esteem and build a sense of community of support. The support evolved into development of a mentoring program in the community and schools with partnerships of district, school and parental involvement in 3 states and 4 school districts for over 10 years. Additionally, local, state and national partnerships formed to build capacity and structure. Shy girls became more outgoing, their self-worth and self-esteem was raised and parents saw improvement in school and at home. After supporting over 1000 girls with over 400 adults, especially women contributing to their growth and success, now, Essence of a Lady plan to utilize a similar framework to help women gave financial freedom to build generational wealth through the Women Building Wealth Program.
With a one full year immersion of 1000 women utilizing the research-based, proven system of the Women Building Wealth Program, women will meet weekly on LIVE sessions to learn how to use the resources provided in the learning modules, ask questions to the lead or the representative who participated in the Beta program, and gain insight of strategies taught from the perspective of their peers. They will implement the techniques and strategies learned during the week to get through phase one: Leveraging Your Finances. Their self-esteem continues to grow because of exposure of financial market tricks learned. Their stress levels decreased because they learn how to gain financial freedom, which is phase two. Now, they are ready to focus on phase three: Build Generational Wealth. Finally, with long term goals, they are ready to throw the rope back to the youth.
- Pilot: a product, service, or business model that is in the process of being built and tested with a small number of beneficiaries or working to gain traction.
- Growth: A registered 501(c)(3) with an established product, service, or business model in one or several communities, which is poised for further growth. Organizations should have a proven track record with an annual operating budget.
In December 2020, during the pandemic, prior to working on the Women Building Wealth Program, I recruited over one hundred people on my team to become a part of a global community in the cryptocurrency space in less than two months. Many registered but never engaged in the opportunity and remain inactive become I did not have a system in place. The goal is to reactivate them through the automation system. 90% of women registered were small business owners. Although funding and dedicating time to learn the cyptocurrency space was their biggest challenges, their burning desire to leverage their finances was there.
Additionally, I was the driving force behind the "create your own banking system" during the pandemic, where seven of us got over 1500 people to contribute $500 to earn money in a two month period.
With this program, I can provide the resources, strategies and system to become financially literate, gain financial freedom and building generational wealth with processes in place to keep them engaged. The Beta program taught me with the right support, over 1000 women can benefit from my system in one year. At least 10,000 can benefit within five years through replication. With this focus, the Women Building Wealth Program will make a meaningful impact for women and provide the opportunity for throwing the rope back to support girls.
Professional and enterprising women make up the majority of my community where my program is being implemented. I, along with the seven contract workers are the decision makers. Stakeholders are investors into the platforms I introduced them to for wealth building. Although the partnerships for the platforms I use are globally through technology, local school board officials, community leaders, church leaders, business owners, parents, and Essence of a Lady work together to provide resources, support and guidance to help the youth, especially girls, learn also.
I work with the community to provide support for the youth through programs, resources and support for our youth. This, in turn, gives me the opportunity to share the Women Building Wealth Program to parents, community partners, business owners and other stakeholders. As a black women in predominately black neighborhoods, providing access to financial resources, strategies for financial freedom and tools and techniques to build generational wealth. The desire is to see a paradigm shift in wealth in these communities. Being in these communities for many years has allowed me to build life-long relationships for them to know their ideas and input is valued. My belief is there is more than enough for all of us to achieve long-term wealth for us and our families for generations to come.
I have built trust in the communities my organization serves through great work ethics, integrity and showing unwavering love and support to the children and women the community serves. The outreach has been with the implementation of school and community-based mentoring programs. The hidden effect of helping children is the effect it has on their parents. Emails, word-of-mouth, social media, school partnerships and churches have been the main modes of communication. Having events with local and national leaders as speakers to impart knowledge has given me direct access and opportunities for engagement with local stakeholders and political leaders, as well as business leaders. Additionally, being involved in organizations, groups and associations have provided national and international recognition, networking and connection with the communities I serve.
With money to market, promote and create a platform for women to share their journey to financial freedom:
1. At least 1000 women will become financially literate, implement strategies to become financially free and develop techniques to build generational wealth.
2. Share their journey to financial freedom with the world as a "Fabulous Female" on the marketing and media platform.
3. Become philanthropic by teaching others and girls to do the same.
The women will use a proven system to become financially literate, gain financial freedom and build generational wealth.
They will share their journey from ordinary to extraordinary with the world through our marketing and media platform.
They will replicate by teaching others and girls in our mentoring program the same system that helped them. True servants are those who give without expecting anything in return but receiving gifts back 100-fold.
For over two years, I have built a relationship with financial partners in every aspect of the financial market. First, I have a bachelors in Economics. I worked in the financial market with ITT Life for 2 years. I have immersed myself into the financial market learning from the rich and building wealth in the cryptocurrency space for a year and a half. I am a member of one of the largest wealth building groups in the world. I have always leveraged the banking and credit card industry to live a comfortable life. While I am not rich, I am building assets, leveraging my finance, participating in the cryptocurrency space to become a millionaire in the next year or two.
Through the wealth building group and a perpetual banking group, I have partners with huge teams. They are ready and available to help me teach each strategy in each phase of the Women Building Wealth Program. Two of my partners are husband and wife with a combined 50 years in the financial space. They run a financial empowerment center, have spoken at events for my organization over ten years and have connections with some of the most astute women and men in the cryptocurrency space.
Finally, I have financial educators who teach compounding interest strategies, budgeting and real estate investments to offer a proven system to help women become financially free to build generational wealth. This does not include the direct support for onboarding, project management and financial strategies support.
As a tech company that believes in solving problems through innovative construct, through Essence of a Lady, I have been on this mission for over 33 years. Truist Foundation and MIT Solve adds value to the Women Building Wealth Program in three ways; helping eliminate cultural barriers, technical barriers and market barriers. The Women Building Wealth Program was conceptualized based on me understanding the financial market and being a part of the most marginalized cultures in the US.-a black women who grew up in the 60's. The challenge to coordinate, collaborate with community leaders, mentors, etc. has been the framework used by Essence of a Lady to support school-age girls from low-socioeconomic backgrounds can now be used to help women achieve financial freedom by providing the platform, system and resources to them. Cultural barriers have keep them financial illiterate, Truist Foundation can help educate them. MIT Solve can help break down the technical barriers by helping me create an automated system to make this learning curve for financial literacy simplified and doable. With the support of these two entities, financial markets will become more familiar, and these women's self-esteem will grow as they navigate for financial freedom. Then they can teach others through replication and build another source of income as they throw the rope back and teach girls.
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development, etc.)
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and national media)
- Product / Service Distribution (e.g. expanding client base)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design, data analysis, etc.)
The partnership goals for the Women Building Wealth Program is to grow by 1000 in a year. This requires opportunity to recruit women in all 17 markets where Truist Foundation exists. Therefore product service and distribution is needed to expand client base. Prior to expanding, restructuring the board to meet the needs of the current market and support in talent acquisition is needed to scale rapidly. Improving accounting practices would allow us to strive and getting coached on pitching investors will polish my skills since this is the first major pitch I will embark. Although I have branding, marketing and social media experience, having support with the national media will provide the opportunity to help 1000 women qualify to participate sooner. Lastly, with the backing of MIT Solve, the innovation to create software to automate the system for women to become financially literate, gain financial freedom, and build generational wealth will be a game changer for many women who aspire to achieve these goals. Then, having a media platform to share it with girls and the world for generations to come is extraordinary. That is what the Women Building Wealth Program is all about.
Besides Truist Foundation and MIT Solve, I would like to partner with Boardsi, a company that helps with board member acquisitions. As a newbie in the pitch world, I would like to be mentored by an experienced pitch master. Precious I. Williams is well-known as the "Killer Pitch Master." Although I have been featured in several magazines this year, having the privilege to be in the national media, like going on Good Morning America or any other syndicated national show would give this opportunity for women of color to learn and apply for this opportunity to solve their financial situation and build wealth for generations to come.
