Melissa Muhammad, the founder, and CEO of Black & Global Business Essentials Inc has been working as an International Tax Attorney for more
than 20 years. Melissa understands that Black International businesses,
entrepreneurs, and business professionals want to work together. But,
the question was how do they all connect. Melissa’s solution was to
create the Black & Global Business Essentials Network, an economic engine
combining the talents and resources of the Black Business Community to
sell our products and services around the world becoming the Epicenter
focused on Black International Economics. Based on her experience, here
are the solutions BGBN will offer:
- Promote Black international economics in 195 countries, doing
- business with Black American Companies
- Access government resources to grow internationally
- Increase trade worldwide, with a focus in Africa & the Caribbean
- Connect Black global business professionals
- create jobs, jobs, and more jobs
The federal government gives away 25 billion in loans annually, of which
Black-owned businesses only get about 750 million, which is.03%, The
government spends hundreds of millions in tax dollars to help
businesses operate globally every day. Less than .01% by black-owned
companies collectively benefit from these resources. There are trillions of
dollars in business opportunities around the world, but most black-owned businesses do not know how to access these opportunities and/or
government resources to help them expand globally.
Our program is well-aligned with (1) Connecting small business owners and key stakeholders such as investors, local policymakers, and mentors with the relevant experience to improve coordination, collaboration, and knowledge bases within the small business ecosystem and (2) Assisting with access to capital, capital campaigns, and/or financial education and information.
Our vision at Black & Global Business Essentials Inc is to produce 10,000
plus Black-owned businesses generating trillions of dollars in
international trade and commerce. We have a 100-Year Plan to be a Black
economic engine that starts with us today and will be carried forward by
young Black International business professionals. Through the Black &
Global Business Network, this group will continue to produce 100 Black-owned businesses per year generating at least $1,000,000 in international
sales. Over 100 Years, this will produce 10,000+ Black-owned businesses
generating trillions of dollars in international trade and creating
thousands of jobs in our community. Our goal is to strategically expand
the market share of Black-owned businesses over the next 100 years of
business operations. Most importantly, as we execute this Black
International economic expansion, our vision will highlight our values
which include integrity to perform, service to our community, excellence
in all that we do, and teamwork; move as an economic family.
The government spends our tax dollars to help businesses operate globally every day. Less than .01% of Black-owned businesses collectively benefit from these resources. We serve any Black-owned business that is new to exporting. BGBN helps Black-owned businesses start, grow, and expand their products and services around the world.
We do this virtually through zoom. We offer a 6-week training course that helps companies get prepared to export and to create jobs: Black & Global
Export Readiness: 101, 102, 103, and 104. These courses are offered
once a quarter. We sell these programs to gateway partners that
serve Black businesses. Examples of gateway partners are: Black
business chambers of commerce, incubators, accelerators, economic
development etc. The gateway partners purchase our courses, and
their clients can attend any of the quarterly trainings.

We know what our customers have been missing in the industry; a professional service that is focused with connecting Black-owned business to the international market.
We have opportunities for expansion, and we will gain reasonable market share as we capture the market strategically. We have not identified any other service that focuses specifically on promoting government export services in the Black business community.
