Pitch:

We are one world, a Global Village. We are all Global Citizens, regardless of national boundaries or place of residence. Every citizen should have a Global Citizenship Identity Card (GCIC) or simply a Global Citizen Card (GCC). The issuance of these cards should begin in Developing Countries where they are most urgently required. But they should eventually be rolled out to every Citizen around the world in an attempt to bring about one-world global unity. The card would use the very latest security technologies to ensure security and privacy, and automatic acceptance by all authorities.

What makes the solution innovative:

It is a Global Identity Card. No such card presently exists.

How the solution demonstrates 'privacy by design':

As mentioned, it would contain Photo ID and FingerPrint ID. As well, at the time of issuance, Eye Scans could be taken and entered in the database.

How the solution can be incorporated into digital identification systems:

It would use all standard ID trechnologies.

How the solution is 'user-friendly':

It would be a simple database addition, automatically read.

How the solution ensures interoperability:

Same reasons as above.

How the solution accounts for low connectivity environments and for users with low literacy and numeracy levels:

It can be used via cellphone technology.

Vision over the next three to five years to implement or grow the solution to affect the lives of more people:

Such cards would be inexpensive to roll out and to implement. It could scale up very fast if done in an organized way, with governmental cooperation as required. If any dictaorial government declined, the cards could be issued by an international authority and their widespread acceptance would overrule any despotic refusal.

Needed cooperation of some developing countries. But the key is to start a pilot project in one approving country and then move on from there with the concept proven.
