AiQyaM
World's first Quantum Hardware based DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) and community, focusing on developing a quantum-ready workforce to work on quantum hardware solutions for a better future!
We propose to provide a unified platform for researchers around the world to collaborate as a community of quantum enthusiasts, engineers, and scientists. This will be put into action through a unique approach i.e. to have a decentralized model of execution known as a DAO, thus making the world's first "Quantum DAO".
We use open-source software like "Vensim" -- which is made by MIT and Harvard for our work dynamics simulations and have developed a tokenization system based on parameters like learning, performing, and community building, to facilitate the functioning of our DAO. The outcomes that arise from this DAO can be put up as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) for the members as well as people outside of the community.
As a DAO, we focus on quantum education to develop a workforce that is capable of taking up research in quantum computing and related fields. Ultimately, this will allow us to develop viable quantum hardware products which can help facilitate achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) by providing a solution to them by leveraging the advantages of robust quantum computers.
With the world moving into the second quantum revolution, it will be a matter of some time before we'll have universal fault-tolerant quantum Computers. Yet the process to develop a fully functioning one needs to figure out.
The discovery of process is a very important task, the biggest necessity of the hour is the fast development of an effective workforce, to work in the quantum industry. The world has seen the power of a community-driven approach to achieving societal goals. The hardware industry even in classical electronics is the toughest domain to pursue as a career and it's no different in the quantum version also.
The major void here is the absence of clear information regarding the industry-level knowledge needed. Especially, quantum being one of the sophisticated deep science topics, is always pursued by researchers. We at AiQyaM, are trying to bring a solution by having developed a pipeline of flows to develop and equip youngsters with the industry-level quantum skills needed.
Our solution makes it possible to have an end-to-end pipeline for enabling a quantum future. We focus on educating students interested in quantum computing and quantum hardware, right from the mathematics and physics basics, to understanding high-level design concepts in different quantum hardware architectures like Superconducting, trapped-ions, photonics, and many more that we'll take up in the future.
Being a part of AiQyaM, one gets to work on cutting-edge research and learn from various researchers from around the world to develop robust quantum hardware for years to come!
To understand the problem, the most organic way is when we have faced it ourselves. Having worked with organizations like Quantum Computing India, we faced challenges while finding resources related to Quantum Hardware. To tackle these issues, we started a Quantum Hardware specific Learning Circle in the community where we took 20+ working sessions trying to break really complex topics related to the physics and working of a Quantum Bit or Qubit.
As we were taking sessions and peer learning events, we were faced with the same questions from the audience, which were targeted towards the paucity of simple open-source resources and the gap between industry, academia, and community for Quantum Hardware.
Simultaneously 10+ people were involved in the development of 3 projects related to Quantum Processor Design. This led us to discover another issue related to the gradual and easy upskilling of enthusiasts in the field of Quantum Hardware. This issue was a cause of the gap that is prevailing between academia and the community.
Another problem that we discovered while we were working on community-centric projects and groups, was about the proper incentivization of an individual's work. We saw a lot of people getting demotivated to work because of no incentives and near-term benefits being provided by the community and to overcome this issue, the development of a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) was the best idea that could have been explored.
- Improving learning opportunities and outcomes for learners across their lifetimes, from early childhood on (Learning)
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model
Our approach involves the amalgamation of Web 3.0 based technology - DAO, the most interesting technology of the upcoming decade - Quantum Computing and the power of community. As we are trying to build an extensively integrated community that leverages the advantages of concepts like tokenization, DAO, NFT's, Quantum, and Education, a lot of things are under development and need to be researched extensively.
We have been developing courses in collaboration with IBM Quantum Educator and along with this a lot of projects are underway, focusing on expanding the whole community aspect of the same. This made us classify in a protype phase and we are eager to move to the Scale phase as soon as we can.
- A new use of an existing technology (e.g. application to a new problem or in a new location)
We plan to work towards developing our own quantum processors, starting within three different domains -- Superconducting, Trapped-Ions, and Photonics.
Superconducting qubits consist of a capacitor and a non-linear inductor which act as an anharmonic oscillator.
Trapped-Ion qubits work by accessing internal hyperfine states of the atom. In both of these technologies, we isolate any two levels of the multi-level system and address them individually to perform computation. this takes place in the discrete variable domain.
In Photonic qubits, we utilize the bosonic modes of light as the computational basis. This usually happens in the continuous variable domain.
Web 3.0 based frameworks like DAO forms the core of our community and the underlying elements such as tokenization, NFT's, and other blockchain-based assets help decentralize knowledge and ownership, help facilitate the internal functioning of the community.

Till now, we have engaged with around 1000+ quantum enthusiasts through our various peer learning sessions, events, etc. Now we aim to expand the reach to 20,000+ through our developing online courses on quantum hardware and along with other community-focused activities like peer learning sessions, watch parties, hackathons, guest talks, and podcasts.
The impact goals that we are trying to achieve are majorly in the development of the complete DAO around Quantum Hardware and expanding it globally with active work being conducted in the domain of different architectures to provide sufficient knowledge to the people in the open community about Quantum Hardware and it's development.
We are measuring the impact goal progress by the response that we are getting from the community and we are planning to tap this in the coming year with set metrics that are totally aligned with our aims and the number of projects and papers that we are trying to build.
The major barrier we see in achieving our goal is the high customer acquisition cost, which means more investment is needed for marketing.
We have members from various backgrounds -- physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical, finances, and also we have an established advisory board who are skilled professionals from industry and academia.
