SAVING HUGE AMOUNT OF WATER IN POPULATED COUNTRIES

the solution is just counting the seconds while you were under a bathing shower and comparing it with the seconds it takes to fill a jug under it.+

Elevator pitch

What is your solution?

the solution is very simple ,we have bucket and mug for bathing and also a shower installed and most of people have this kind of arrangement here so the mug is about 1 ltr. if we count the seconds it takes to fill up the mug from shower (it takes 20 to 25 seconds) and the person stands under the shower for 20 to 25 seconds ,it is more than enough time make the body wet and another 20 to 25 seconds to wash off the soap that he/she have applied on their body, so instead of using 2 buckets (about 50 ltrs.) we can bath completely with only 2 lits. or maybe 3ltrs.(total 60 to 70 seconds under shower) in this way each person can save about 47 to 48 liters of water everyday. No technology is reqired you just need to know "how to count".

What specific problem are you trying to solve?

I'am trying to give solution to the problem of water shortage in countries like india . The situation there has become very miserable, many people are not getting even water to drink and here we the city people are wasting 50 to 60 liters of water just to bath , i mean just think they don't have enouhg water to drink , if my solution is implemented we will save crores of liters of water from Delhi alone and all of this water can be sent to people who require the most , people in rajasthan or madhya pradesh or people living in slums they are real needy of this water that we are just wasting for a comfy bath.

Who does your solution serve? In what ways will the solution impact their lives?

my solution will serve the people of MAHARASTRA,GUJARAT,KARNATAKA,ANDHRA PRADESH,RAJASTHAN and all the other parts of world where where water scarcity has become a very serious problem and even if people are getting water they are paying a large amount bills for it(they are not earning enough,thats other problem) .If water saved in cities by my solution is transported to people of villages and slums, their lives will be hugely imapcted positivly.

What steps have you taken to understand the needs of the population you want to serve?

I belong to a small village in ballia,UTTAR PRADESH so i have been there and heared elders talk about their concern that how after some time their underground water will be finished and village might hit by a drought also ive been to slums of delhi and seen that the water tankers that come for them provide a very limited water to each family.

because thats just a idea solution , it dosen't require any products but spreading this idea to people will be very difficult, MIT's huge platform can help kspread this idea and aware people.
