“Starlight” a personal assistant for undergraduate students

"STARLIGHT" = intelligent personal assistant that will help millions of young undergraduate students to have an absolute knowledge of the career they will study the next years of their lives.

In simple terms, Starlight would work in collaboration with any company that has intelligent personal assistants, like Alexa, Siri or Cortana. A new concept will be created that will allow undergraduate students to acquire information on the career of their interest. “Starlight” will not have simple information that we can all find on the internet, but rather it will have necessary data given by teachers, experts in the area or trained people who will teach us everything about a certain subject. They will record their experience as professionals, just like a podcast. In addition, answers to frequently asked questions will also be uploaded so that students find a simpler, friendlier and more enriching source of learning.

I am exactly one month away from graduating, and although I have always known about the area I am going to study, I am not clear about the panorama of everything that this includes. Every time I read on the internet, I get more confused. Each site or page has different information which means that contradictions between sources exist all the time. 

For that reason, Starlight would be a project especially dedicated to undergraduate students who have just graduated or are about to finish that stage. In this way, they will be able to obtain help with qualified information from experts and experienced professionals, which will definitely enrich the students before deciding their career.

With this, I want to try to solve or rather reduce a very big problem that can be summed up in "disinformation" or "false information" that we find on the internet. Decrease people's trust in these baseless forums, and encourage them to prefer qualified information.

The target I am addressing is young people who have just graduated and are undecided when it comes to choosing their career.

It is true that those tests that help you see your interest zone are very useful. Using Starlight, you can reinforce your knowledge and make it a resource to continue learning from expert experiences.

Beyond that target mentioned, this smart personal assistant can actually be funcional for all those interested in learning much more about different careers. Not only for undergraduate students, but also for students who regret having chosen that career or who have taken the initiative to start studying right now.

Not really, I have not belonged to an organization for this purpose. Nor have I done any research or any study that shows the usefulness of this product. 

However, I support this project 100%, because I consider myself part of that “target” I'm targeting. My classmates, friends and people I know are in that same conflict. 

There is SO MUCH information on the internet, that many times he/she is more confused than when he/she started. Upon hearing their experiences researching, analyzing their options and surfing the internet to find out more about their area of interest, many give up trying and don't know if that career was right for them.

I believe, that this project should be carried out as soon as possible. we may be losing a great lawyer, architect or engineer because of the amount of information that in many cases is impossible to understand on the internet.

My idea is a concept that can be carried out in collaboration with existing technology product companies that develop intelligent personal assistants. In other words, it is a new feature added to an existing product.

An intelligent personal assistant to help young people, adults or future university students, to guide their lives according to their interests. This new feature would be developed, through an existing product such as Siri, Alexa, Cortana, Google Assistant, etc.

The project has not been carried out. But it is expected to help a large number of young undergraduates, that is the main objective.

-Help mentor students once I finish school.
-Collaborate with as many smart personal assistants as possible around the world.
-Get experiences from qualified experts on the platform to provide qualified information.

I will achieve those goals with effort, perseverance and dedication. However, for this I need to send my proposal to these companies and get a response. Search for experts, qualified personnel that speak about each branch or career and their experience in it.

To verify the success or failure of the project I will conduct surveys and with the response of the viewers and consumers we will be able to see how it is going. Also, if it is a collaboration with these companies, a response from them is required as well.

I am a demanding, responsible, hard-working, curious and problem-solving person. I am willing to do everything to carry out this project and I am sure that I will be able to do it with perseverance and persistence.

I have no experience leading a project as large as this one. However, I am about to graduate from high school and within it I have led quite a few projects, initiatives and solidarity events that require a lot of effort and hours of work. For that reason, I believe I am in the position to accept this challenge and use my skills, qualities and abilities to achieve each of my goals.

I haven't really collaborated with a very large organization. I have only volunteered at the events of a foundation called "In Terris", which entails responsibilities and constancy. Within the foundation, I have been in charge of solidarity visits with people with scarce resources, I have made lunch with a group of colleagues. 

I have attended fairs that aim to encourage the use of resources in a sustainable way, the consumption of vegetables and fruits, talks that promote a healthy life through food and sports.

Working with them has been a privilege, having collaborated with this foundation has opened doors for me to meet several people, several places, learn new things, participate in talks, etc.

I consider this project to be very useful. It is really very advantageous and will be able to contribute to many people in need. I am sure that this solution is worthwhile.
