Eco-graphite

My solution is based on removing of CO2 emissions from vehicle exhaust and then making use of that captured CO2 to make graphite. From graphite, we will make graphite products.

Global warming is increasing day by day. CO2 emissions are rising very fast. Most of the CO2 emissions are caused due to vehicle exhaust. Vehicles powered by fossil fuels are the biggest source of CO2 emissions. Following are the important points of my solution:-

1. So, my solution is mainly based on capturing of CO2 emissions from vehicle exhaust.

2. So, first we will collect the vehicle exhaust and then we will do separation of gases because vehicle exhaust mainly consists of gases like CO2, NO2, CO, water vapour. This process will be done by doing condensation of gases.

3. The person who will give his/her vehicle exhaust to us, he/she will be given some money in return.

3. When the CO2 is separated out from other gases, then we will make use of that captured CO2 to make graphite. We will make graphite by Bosch reaction.

4. From graphite, we will make graphite products that are:- Lithium ion battery, pencils, Graphene.

1.Problem Statement:-CO2 emissions are rising day by day. Global warming is increasing. Most of the CO2 emissions are caused by vehicles powered by fossil fuels. So, I am solving the problem of CO2 emissions that are caused by vehicle exhaust.

2.Scale of this problem:-The scale of this problem is very big means CO2 emissions is not only the problem of only one community but it is the problem of the entire world. As, I stated above that most of the CO2 emissions are caused due to vehicles powered by fossils fuels. Almost every people in the world is using vehicles that are powered by fossil fuels. So,CO2 emissions are rising day by day at a very fast rate. Hence, scale of the problem is very big. Thus, we have to focus on how to remove CO2 emissions from vehicle exhaust in a better way.

3.People who are affected by this problem:- Almost every people in the world is affected by the problem of CO2 emissions.CO2 Emissions causes global warming. Climate is changing. So, all the people are suffering today by this problem.

4.Consequences result from the problem:- CO2 emissions from the vehicle exhaust plays a key role in the global warming. Many problems are caused due to CO2 emissions like global warming ,air pollution etc. Due to global warming, sea levels are rising, climate is changing.

My solution will solve the problem of CO2 emissions. Hence, all the people of the entire world will be benefitted as CO2 emissions will be reduced, global warming will be reduced. So, our planet will be saved.

Yes, I have done research work in understanding this problem in a more better way. By doing research work, I have found most of CO2 emissions are caused due to vehicle exhaust and almost every people in the world are using vehicles powered by fossil fuels. We also have done various experiments to build our project. Hence, this problem needs to solved. Hence, me and my team started to work on this project that is to reduce CO2 emissions that are caused vehicle exhaust. 

I selected this stage of development because we have been working on this project for 1 year and we have now finally developed a prototype of the project.

Following are the important points on how I made this project and what technology is used:-

1. Firstly, vehicle exhaust is collected at one place and then we will do separation of gases because vehicle exhaust mainly consists of gases like CO2,CO,NO2, water vapour. We will do condensation of gases for separation of gases. Freezing point of these gases are:-

water vapour:- 0 degree Celsius

CO2:- -78 degree Celsius

NO2:- -90 degree Celsius

CO:- -205 degree Celsius

2. Now, first we provide 0 degree Celsius so that water vapour freezes and it is separated out. After that we provide -78 degree Celsius so that only CO2 freezes at this time and thus it is separated out. 

3. After this , we will make graphite from that CO2. We will make Graphite by Bosch reaction,

CO2+2H2----------> C (s) + 2H2o ; temperature= 530-730 degree Celsius

catalyst needed:- Iron

4. This solid carbon which is obtained from Bosch reaction is Graphite. Now, we will make 3 Graphite products that are Lithium ion battery, pencils, and Graphene.

5. The person who will give his/her vehicle exhaust to us will be given some money in return.

We haven't launch our solution yet. But we will definitely launch our solution as soon as we get proper funding. We know that India is in the list of top 10 polluted country. So, my first step will be to reach to my city people to use our solution to reduce CO2 emissions and they will be also benefitted as they will get some money in return when they will give their vehicle exhaust to us. After that reaching to every person in India and globally who are using vehicles powered by fossil fuels.

My impact goals:-

• My solution will solve the entire world's biggest problem that is CO2 emissions that are caused by vehicles powered by fossil fuels.
• So, by implementing my solution, CO2 emissions will be reduced. Global warming will be reduced.
• All the problems that are caused due to CO2 emissions will be reduced
• It will save our planet.
•  All the people of the entire world will be benefitted.
• Air pollution will be reduced and thus, Air quality will be improved.
• The change in climate which is caused due to CO2 emissions will be not happen.

     I plan to achieve them by doing startup of the proposed solution.

The barrier for me to implement my solution is the financial barrier because my solution needs proper funding which I don't have right now. I don't have financial support to execute my solution on a large scale.

Me and my team members are in 12 standard. My team members are very supportive. They always give their best. We are always passionate to build something innovative that could help our society. We have also participated in different-different competitions where our innovative solutions got selected. My team has very innovative skills. We all love innovation. In summary, we can do everything..... Nothing is impossible for us.

As my solution is based on sustainability and in sustainability I have proposed as solution of how to reduce CO2 emissions that are caused due to vehicle exhaust. In this way, CO2 emissions will be reduced and Global warming will be reduced. Hence our planet will be saved. Also, this prize is only for girls and me and my team members are all girls. Hence, I'm qualified for this prize. My team will use that Prize in doing startup of the proposed project. Since, I haven't launched my solution yet as we don't have proper funding for doing startup of the project, so by using this prize we will be able to do startup of the above project.
