to improve the lives of those people who are unfortunate economically and also physically disadvantaged, those people who live with disabilities of blindness.

What is your solution?

my solution is to create a gadget that a blind person can operate well with out any hinderance.this gadget will help poor and blind people to feel that they are also important and loved by the community. This gadget works by the use of voice commands and also speech recognition where by a blind person tell the gadget what he wants it to do for him or her .

What specific problem are you trying to solve?

after doing some research I found out that 9 in 10 people in kenya who are blind are felling like the society had forgotten about them .I gained this information by talking to some of the blind people.the specific problem that I am trying to solve is the stress of blind people due to loneliness and also the other problem that I am trying to solve is that those people who are living with disabilities like blindness and economically disadvantaged tend to be just sitting in one space Which would make them over think about how their loved ones had forgotten about them which will cause depression to them .

Who does your solution serve? In what ways will the solution impact their lives?

my solution will server those poor people who are living with the disabilities of blindness .one of the ways that it will impact their lives is that it will reduce the stress full moments they often experience thinking how the world has forgotten about them . Most of theses blind people live in their own world because they are kind of isolated from our day to activities.the solution will address the problem In two main ways .first is that in order to destruct them from thinking of thinks like they are not parts of the societies , the solution helps by providing with a section in the gadget that will be responsible for entertaining the targeted person because the gadget will be able to play some music that is stored by SD cards and it will also be able to connect to the radio transmitter so that he or she could be able to listen to what is happening around them.it will able to address the the need of the blind person who wants to talk to his loved ones through the gadget without any problem because he will just command it to do so .

What steps have you taken to understand the needs of the population you want to serve?

One of the major step that I had taken to understand the needs of the population that I want to serve is that I went and meet with one person who lives in our in our area and was a blind man who usually stays under a tree the whole day and he was just provided with food under that same tree when it is the time for meals .i engage with this person and asked some several question from which I got information of the kind of problems they encounter with most of the time and this gave me a conclusion that these people needs to be apart of our community because they are also our sisters and brothers. Since this is just an idea I haven’t been able to work with any organization because time limited.

What is the unmet need that your solution tried to address? Why is it important?

The un mated need that my solution tries to address is the problem that is faced by many blind people around the world which is not getting enough time to spend with their loved ones because of the environment that they coming from where everyone is trying their best to makes the ends meet which will result to them staying at home alone which will increase the level of capacity of stress due to the facts thinking about many unnecessary thinks.it is a very vital solution because the main motives behind this solution Is that I am trying to solve is to reduce the amount of depression that most of the blind people encounter with that often leads to health issues.

Explain why you selected this stage of development for your solution—in other words, what have you accomplished to date?

I choose this stage of development because my idea is just a concept and I think that no one has tried to come up with it .also the other reason why I choose this stage is that this idea needs a lot of research which I am doing it know and also that I am a new to this kind of a project .the fact is that this is just an idea that came to my mind to solve the problem of the people who are not given enough attention by many people around the glob.so far I have accomplished thinking about the idea itself but
