A technology that converts texts to braille on a tactile tablet.

What is your solution?

A tablet with attached camera on the back, that scans texts and converts them into braille. The front face contains a certain amount of holes with moving cylinders inside. The converted braille text is "displayed" on the face of the tablet, through the cylinders.

What specific problem are you trying to solve?

Not all of the texts are translated to braille and it also seems that translating texts to braille takes plenty of time. This concept will try to solve the problem of accessibility of information in braille.

Who does your solution serve? In what ways will the solution impact their lives?

This solution serves for blind people. It will make it easier for them to access information, especially outside.

What steps have you taken to understand the needs of the population you want to serve?

I have not encountered any blind people, but I also never encountered menus, maps in malls and bus stops schemes with braille translation.
