ClickEat
An online platform that enables farmers, restaurants and pharmacies to standardize their products to allow them access existing and new markets at relatively cheaper costs.
Clickeat is an internet based solution that enables stakeholders in the food system sector and health care products distribution sector easily and quickly access markets at a relatively cheaper costs than how they operate now.
We allows farmers standardize their farm produce, display and sell via this platform. Restaurants and Pharmacies display their food menu and health care products catalogue respectively on the platform where their customers can order and get their items delivered at the convenience of wherever they may be.
Furthermore, as a future improvement we intend to introduce health support services where our customers will be able to consult health workers conveniently.
We are using Web and Mobile (Android) application technologies to avail this solution which currently being piloted in Uganda, Arua City
Uganda has Over 45 million people all in need of quick medication, quality and healthy food as life's basic needs. However, over 37.8% of food produced is being wasted yet the country has 2.4 million malnutritional children and with 10.9 million people experiencing acute food insecurity.
This inaccessibility of potential customers especially especially among farmers, food markets and restaurants has ultimately leads to price fluctuations of agriculture products and worsened poverty levels in the country.
There is basically no quick linkage between pharmacies, farmers and restaurants or most customers have no information on where to get cheap quality food products and health care products.
This call for a digital platform like Clickeat to provide quick access to food and healthcare products by connecting potential customers to farmers, restaurants and pharmacies
In Uganda 72% of the population is dependent on Agriculture dominated by small holder farmers and because they produce in small quantities the face difficulties in accessing markets that can buy their produce.
Clickeat is seeking to provide less costly means of accessing their potential customers to these farmers, food vendors and pharmacies. This will in the end increase income in many citizen and create many indirect job opportunities hence economic growth.
It is also seeking to provide quick, quality, healthy food products and health care products to over 45 millions that need them.
We collected data from 300 sample potential customers of food items and health care products in Uganda, Arua city and found out that most people do not know where to find cheap, quality and trusted food and health care products.
Furthermore, we found that many people would like to receive these products in a quicker, more convenient manner to best serve their needs.
On other hand we are working with food vendors and farmers as we pilot and they are indicating a significant increase in their sales attributed to this platform.

Clickeat is at Pilot Study in Uganda, Arua City with over 737,168 internet users who can potentially make use of the platform.
we currently have 12 restaurants, 8 farm produce vendors and looking at opening an online pharmacy in may 2022.
Clickeat started piloting in October 2021 with a minimum viable product and as of now we average 6 orders everyday

We are currently serving a total of 183 people and we expect to serve more than 1,000 by the end of end of this year according to our goals
Increase revenues of 40 local farmers and food vendors to an average of 1 million Uganda shillings monthly through clickeat platform. This is through helping them to standardize their product and display them for a wider market access via the platform.
Creating a total of 500 direct and indirect job opportunities through the whole business process of clickeat that is the supplier, the carriers, the chefs and many more hence improving the general living standards of citizens
Readily avail information of nearest and trusted pharmacies and available health care products to all citizens.
An average of 45 minutes of delivery for the urgently needed items like food and health care products in order to create convenience, save lives and save time. This is through connecting customers with the nearest food store or pharmacy.

Financial:
We are facing financial challanges to smoothly and effectively penetrate our intended target market. There are several key activities lack sufficient funds for example hiring human resource like developers, accountant and carrier, then marketing and awareness among the public among others.
Legal:
We lack legal advise on how to gain intellectual properties for this solution and as well how best the business should comply with the law.
Five of the team members have a bachelors degree in Information technology or Information system with a 3 year experience in software development and have actively participated in the development of the technology being used.
Two of the team members double to be farmers producing maize and chicken and have shown improvement in sales after using the platform.
One of the per time employee operate a food restaurant that is accessing it customers via our platform.
However, to ensure that we capturing the input of many people we are working with several other farmers, restaurants and food vendors and in the near future we plan to hire a health expert to join our team.
