Mental - Psychological Bridge
Our website aims to create a supportive community where people can communicate in terms of overcoming peer pressure.
We have found out that the students, especially the ones from gifted or specialized school are also facing a lot of pressure and there have not been any shared official community for them to discuss it. Therefore, we would like to create a website where those students can share their questions and answers, and at the same time, search for advice from experts. The website will either works like a forum or private assistant offering trustable personal advice for students to overcome their problems and lessen the pressure.
We offer communities including friends, groups, doctors, and teachers. Our website allows you to take a test, and let you know the psychological problem you are facing. You can also choose the doctors you want to consult on our site. The target audience we want to target are students from specialized schools, which have a higher number of students suffering from psychological problems. The appropriate technology for our innovation is developing an app software and website that will include our features.
Emerging research is finding that students in “high-achieving schools” — public and private schools with high standardized test scores, varied extracurricular and academic offerings, and graduates who head off to top colleges — are experiencing higher rates of behavioral and mental health problems compared with national norms.
Sixty-five among every 100 high school students in Ho Chi Minh City suffer from a mental disorder when preparing for exams, recent research showed. The findings are featured in the research titled “Tỉ lệ rối nhiễu tâm trí và các yếu tố liên quan ở học sinh THPT” (The portion of mental disorder on high school students and related factors) by Nguyen Thi My Chi, a bachelor of public health from the HCMC Medicine and Pharmacy University.
Specifically, the pressure from the school curricula, exams and the relation with teachers are the main causes of the illness. In a recent national survey of 43,000 students from high-performing schools by Challenge Success, a research-based organization affiliated with Stanford University, three-quarters of high school students and half of middle school students reported “often or always feeling stressed” by their schoolwork.
Our app is created to reduce mental health problems, our app can provide the best solutions from the best psychiatrists, and is also a place to share what you need. When using our app, students will feel empathy and reduce the burden on their backs when sharing with an app user or a doctor. If students can lessen or get rid of the pressure they are facing, they can have a happier mood to go to school and do other things. The communities offered in the websites are categorized to both certain areas and across Vietnam , accordingly the students can reach the help they need everywhere.
We're also students, so we can understand that study pressure is an important problem that needs to be solved. However, my friends are also students in a specialized school, so after many times that we talk together, they tell me that they feel very pressured and stressed.
We have read articles and research articles about the fact that school students are under pressure to study, especially in the area where we live and in the mountains. In our conversations, we find out about this issue through our problems; in our discussions, how do I understand gifted students? From the parents, from having to study in school due to the difficulty level, on the other hand, there is pressure from people around. In addition to that, we plan to expand the website for all of you in Vietnam; if it works well, we hope the website will handle the pressure.

- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
Our innovation has just started last month and we are still in the stage of gathering more information about our target users. We also wanted to make sure we conduct needs assessments for our target users. It's a concept open for more ideas and recommendation.
- A new project or business that relies on technology to be successful
Our solution is to create a website-based forum and community. For our innovation: websites, software, and embedded applications are very essential. The website will include specifications such as search engines, an online form generator, a media upload center, and management of big data. Our innovation will require a technology that will also ensure the safety of the personal information of our users taking into consideration that we are dealing with minors.

Our solution is intended to cater to students from rural areas. We wanted to focus on them because we wanted to provide support to students that are in the less developed area. For our initial stages, we wanted to support a maximum of 200 students based on the criteria we have set.
For next year our following objectives and indicators are as follows:
identify target users and beneficiaries.
2. conduct site visits and ocular inspections to our target community.
3. increase community awareness about our program.
4. increase funding to ensure that the project will be sustained for the years to come.
Since we are still in the concept stage, we will base our progress in compliance to the following UN SDG goals and targets:
ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages.
2. ensure equitable quality education and promote lifelong opportunities for all.
3. empowering women of all ages
4. reduce inequality among communities.
5. promote peaceful and inclusive societies
We are team of high school students so there are a lot of barriers that we might encounter such as:
financial and resource management
b. technical expertise in managing the technologies to be used in our innovation
c. legal requirements mandated by the local government
d. cultural responsiveness of the community.
e. possible market restraints
We are open for mentorship most especially we are totally aware that there are alot of complex stages that we have to undergo to fully realize our vision.
At present, we are only relying to the support given to us by our school.
