Environmental education is currently essential to overcome the environmental crisis. In recent years, developing environmental awareness is focused only on children, leaving them the task of teaching adults and youth about environmental care. However, this approach hasn’t worked in the short and medium-term. Since it’s adults who can establish the necessary corrective measures to reorient development models. Children and future generations will be able to do little or nothing if action isn’t taken now.
In Mexico, according to INEGI, for 2020, 72% of the population over 6 years of age has access to the internet, an increase of almost 2% over the previous year. In recent months, the pandemic has accelerated digitization and the connection of society through technology. The economist (newspaper) confirms that the Mexican population access to the internet has become an everyday thing and accompanies them in most of their activities, either directly or indirectly. Whereat least 80% of the users relate their use of the internet to their education and to search information.
