The (Here For You) is a non-profit skill training programs designed to provide our youth with useful skills in order to help them to build a future career.

What is your solution?

The solution is a non-profit project where young people can improve their skills in order to build a future career. Each program will contain a skill and young people have the right to choose the skill they want to learn and develop such as:

Musical and Art skills.

Sewing/Fashion Design Classes.

Computer Literacy.

Critical thinking and problem-solving.

Communication and collaboration skills.

And many other programs that provide a good source of income to many across the world. In addition to a certificate that will be given to the youth people after finishing the course.

What specific problem are you trying to solve?

It is estimated that Yemen economy shrank by 8.5% in 2020. GPA has dropped 40% since 2015.In addition, in 2020, the unemployment rate in Yemen was at approximately 13.4% percent. Yemeni youth suffer from many problems due to the difficult conditions that Yemen has gone through in the recent years. But we would like to highlight one of the most important problems, which is the youth's lack of skills and abilities, which unfortunately the reason behind the increasing of unemployment in Yemen.

Who does your solution serve? In what ways will the solution impact their lives?

Young people are the pioneers of the future, so focusing on their education and skills is the key to a better future for them and for Yemen. Therefore, the goal of this project is to develop the skills of young people to help them to be educated in different fields, fields they love and want to learn. After they have mastered the skills, they are given certificates, thus they have acquired a skill that can help them to build a career.

What steps have you taken to understand the needs of the population you want to serve?

As a Yemeni citizen, I know exactly what Yemeni people are going through in terms of not having even the basic rights. Moreover, as an eighteen-year-old girl, I am not allowed to participate and volunteer in any institution or organization because I do not have a certificate proving my abilities. This is what makes me think to make a solution to such a problem that does not allow young people to develop on their own.

Explain why you selected this stage of development for your solution—in other words, what have you accomplished to date?

The solution that I proposed is an idea that I am trying to develop. Establishing an organization that helps the Yemeni youth in light of the difficult circumstances of the country will be an effective idea that fights a very big problem.
