FLOURISHING COMMUNITIES FOUNDATION
- A new use of an existing technology (e.g. application to a new problem or in a new location)
in local rural communities faced with hunger and malnutrition, we have used the best affordable and attainable technologies to make our community gardens and other projects create impact.
Regenerative agriculture is a technology that forcuses on conservation and preservation of the soil.
we believe soil is the basis of all agricultural and non agricultural activities, we tend to handle it with care to ensure food supply and availability.
we use organic farming to grow our foods and our chickens are raised organically without any added hormones. We call that hidden hunger, it's a threat to humanity, not only in local rural areas but in urban areas too. people eat alot of unhealthy foods. organic farming has helped us grow healthier foods

We currently have 120 families with about 355 people( by December 2021)benefiting on our foods daily.
we plan to open up two new food basket gardens in two areas most affected with hunger, children malnutrition in 2022.
that's if we can purchase land in those areas
we are looking at widening our solutions to hunger and malnutrition in two new areas this year.
we need to purchase land in those two areas. 5 acres can be enough for a start in each area.
we work together with the people in the areas, teach them how to grow their own healthy foods and sharing the harvests with those at risks and the less privileged
our progress has always been seeing that the number of deaths due to hunger, starvation and malnutrition decreases in an area of our impact.
we look at the children's health and the community at large
total community members involvement is also so important to us. having them all engaged is sure a success to us
the biggest challenge is land.
we have acquired seed saving skills and we have developed a good knowledge on growing organic foods.
land is the basis of all agricultural services.
having land is the only thing we need to accomplish and offer the service
for the two years we have spent mobilizing people in communities much affected with hunger and malnutrition. we have realized that hunger is the biggest threat to humanity. we have realized that everyone needs healthier foods.
the numbers of people starving and dieing due to hunger constrains us more to work hard and improve our services to fight hunger.
we have learnt how to use affordable and attainable solutions to combat hunger and malnutrition.
we have patterned with some local organizations like farm to earn initiative. Farm to earn has offered us free tools per season and this is a great aid to our gardens.
we have also patterned with Say no to the hunger virus initiative.
Say no to the hunger virus has distributed our garden surplus to other areas we can't reach on a cost which has helped us run our garden budget
