What is your solution?

Know your career is a website that will have right information concerning different careers.It will contain detailed information on what different careers are?,How to pursue it?,What actually it means being in a certain career?,How other people have employed themselves and have created employments in different careers?Again it will have detailed information on how can people in different careers engage in solving society problems and implementing sustainable development goals using their specific knowledge.Also the names and links of different local and international institutions that have programs related to specific careers and their recent rankings.

The solution can be implemented by collecting right and detailed information from different careers by fetching them from the specific career's associations such as engineers associations, doctors associations and teachers associations. The information include short videos, pictures and written documents concerning the career which will answer different questions

(what different careers are? what actually it means being in a certain career? How other people have employed themselves and have created employments in different careers?)Then this information is going to be fed in the website of know your career and it will be updated frequently.

What specific problem are you trying to solve?

This is a solution to lack of awareness and limited exposure on different careers faced by students. Too many students are unaware and they have limited knowledge about careers As a result of not being aware about different careers university students are not in harmony with their choices/decisions they made about their career leading to high rate of university dropouts, and if they manage to complete their courses there comes Lack of creativity in different fields and in addition to that there is High unemployment rate (that is we create job seekers) as one can not stretch his/her mind in something that he/she is not passionate about.

All the stated problems are the result of the people not to be in their right careers. The choices of careers are not proper as the people have no right information about what those careers are, what do those careers concern in the present world and how can a specific career engage in solving different society problems also their participation in implementing sustainable development goals. Again one have no any idea on how other people have employed themselves in different careers. So the people do not have passions with what they are doing.

Now one choose to enroll in undergraduate studies or diploma level studies without having right information about the career that he/she is going to study.

Who does your solution serve? In what ways will the solution impact their lives?

The target population is a group of students who are still in primary,secondary up the university and graduate students.Again to some extents it will help the people who are currently in the field of specializations.

This group currently have got no detailed information about different careers that they will later pursue(primary and secondary students) and hence they fail to know where the fit in and what they should undertake after accomplishing their studies.

Again for the university students also the same problem exist that they don't know actually what they will be after graduating as there are a lot of specializations.

To the side of the graduate students it is really hard to them to choose their field of specializations as they lack right information.

So this website will help all the stated groups to be aware of vital information concerning their future careers and hence they will develop passion after seeing where they fit. To the people who are ready in the fields of specializations they will get to know what other people in the same field are doing and again how they can use their knowledge to solve society problems and implement sustainable development goals.

What steps have you taken to understand the needs of the population you want to serve?

To date we have conducted a simple research to different students from various universities concerning their career choices and how are they carrying out their studying life. Most of the student were not happy with the courses that they have taken while others do not know what is the next step after graduating.

Which aspects of the Challenge does your solution most closely address?

Improving learning opportunities and outcomes for learners across their lifetimes, from early childhood on (Learning)

Our solution's stage of development:

Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea

Explain why you selected this stage of development for your solution—in other words, what have you accomplished to date?

Up to date we have only structured the steps and the roadmap that we will use for the first phase of the project. Our project will have various phases due to presence of many careers.

The road map is that this January 2022 we use for collecting more suggestions from the users(target population) about what they would like to see in the website.

Then the next step is by February 2022 to collect all the information from the first career that we shall agree to start with.

From March to May we shall be coding the website.

The process becomes too long due to tough university timetable and also lack of enough skills especially web development and capital as we use our own funding.
