Advance Technology learning platform for portuguese speakers

A portuguese platform for learning advanced topics in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum computing and various other advanced topics, called Aranea Science.

Right now, Aranea Science is a youtube education channel with more than 1 thousando videos focused in teach about advanced topics in information technology in the portuguese language.

Other solution related to the channel is the Aranea Science Blog in Medium. In that blog the main goal is to show the same topics in computer science but from a different angle. 

The best reads in my opinion, are the articles of artificial intelligence in games, that the goal was to explain how Open AI Five and others gaming related AI works.

There is a enourmous gap between cut edge knowledge just acessible to the academic community that is very hard to learn for non english speakers.

What Aranea Science does, it's explain subjects inside cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other advance topics in a more condense manner, in portuguese, bringing the academic thought to the public.

I want also viewers from portugal, angola, cape verde, and other portuguese speaking countries, to make this type of content more international.

The content of this channel when viewed by an expert in those fields can be seen as the one of most academic focused portuguese channels in computer science.

From anyone who want to learn about artificial intelligence, things that they would just learn in university, books and articles after a long, long time studying.

Not just theory, they can learn also mathematics with python, advances in quantum physics, quantum technology and hardware, besides about cryptocurrencies and blockchain, robotics,neuroscience, math with python and etc..

Those topics are a necessity in the market and can help them to become more aware of the needs, pros and cons in those tecnologies and applications to their companies.

I believe that those are core subjects that can impact in business decisions on those topics, that can really change lives by giving a chance to anyone learn those subjects for free, in their own language.

Part of a lesson that was made originally to my informatics students and them published in the channel.

I was a informatics teacher to children and teenagers before creating Aranea Science Channel. I saw a need here in Sao Paulo, of real good quality material in advance topics that i wanted to teach them, but i could not.

So in some sense all this work is based in the experience that i had teaching them, and what i think they should learn with me.

Undergraduates in Brazil need to acquire english skills to read articles and books in some topics that there is not of real good quality in portuguese, watching this channel and reading the blog, young and older students can learn things they must to survive in the AI, quantum computing, and computer science future.

I have been more than a year with the channel, the quality of the videos were growing more and more over time.

Even without money to buy expensive equipment, just with i already had i did more than 1 thousand videos until now.

Those videos are of high quality in the content, in a academic basis always backed with academic papers regarding the discussing topics.

So if someone wants to know i choose this project, is because the quality of the content, there is none in portuguese language that is so beyond in artificial intelligence and other topics. 

I need support to continue those videos, and make youtube learning great in my language.

I use youtube to teach about those new technologies, not in superficial way, like everyone else, but really teaching the core foundations of those subjects.

There is the Medium Blog that i want to pay the get the premium subscription to make the blog more professional like Towards Computer Science.

There is a need to create a website that i have the prototype already in Wix. The goal is to publish things that are not in the channel and the blog, so students and people wanting to learn can benefit from all.

Giving that has almost like 600 views per month, i would say that is the future, with a decent camera and a microfone, and be able to continue full time at this.

I would make this channel grow to 250 thousand subscribers until June 2022, something that has been made in less by other channels.

Besides growing the channel and subscribers, i want to give life to a website that has the goal of being a academic research magazine focused in computer science.

I want to publish journals there in portuguese, with translations for english to the most cited papers.

While doing that, with a new camera and a drawing tablet i plan to do science related comic books for children with the goal of teaching then cool technology and science, all for free in the website.

Creating a Aranea Science for Kids is also a option in the future, to reach a wider audience, teaching not high school stuff, but about the core topics of the channel, like AI, blockchain and etc...

I'm mensuring the views and quality of the content that has grow more over time, but i need more resources to make this channel more professional.

I don't have money to buy a camera, a good microphone, a good GPU to edit videos, those things are not really expensive, but they are for me right now.

The only way to continue to grow is investing in more resources.

Financial problems lead to get me expelled from my university, losing scholarsphip. Not being able to buy equipment and rent software, without any marketing leads on instagram or youtube.

Those barriers besides need of basic equipment made the channel not grow so much this year. I just need some little resources to make this happen.

The Worst and most important barrier is the living expenses, i need to pay for eletricity, water, food and bills to help my family and survive. If i found a part-time work, i could not do Aranea Science full time, crashing all the goals below to dust.

With help of MIT Solve i could continue to do the Aranea full time for at least 2 years, without creating problems for my family. That is the time to growth and scaling.

I have no partners yet, but i will try to be one of Fecap University in Brazil.
