With the SARS COV2 pandemic, the world showed the number of lives that ECMO systems have saved. What about having an oxygenator system that supplies lung function? How many lives threatened by different pathologies could be saved with an oxygenator system that helps lung function that is also portable and can accompany its user for many years of quality life?
Oxigenator101 seeks to be an oxygen support device that can adhere in a capillary way to the patient that needs it by filtering the oxygen from the environment and injecting it into the blood directly without needing pulmonary intervention.
With the SARS COV2 pandemic, the world showed the number of lives that ECMO systems have saved nevertheless, it is an expensive and limited therapy, inhibits patients from having any quality of life since it requires a state of deep sedation and management in an intensive care unit, in addition to limited resources that could be used for other types of patients.
Oxigenator101 seeks to provide patients with ventilation disorders with a portable device that exchanges oxygen in the air with CO2, similar to how the pulmonary capillaries do it.
Since today it is necessary to walk connected to a generator or gas cylinder oxygen, the quality of life is considerably affected.
People who suffer from pathologies such as cystic fibrosis, postCOVID-19 pulmonary fibrosis, among others, have to focus on a solution that improves their quality of life and provides a solution to their health situation.
So far, the project is in the research phase, validating the physiological effects and the needs that people suffering from pathologies such as cystic fibrosis, post-COVID-19 pulmonary fibrosis, among others, have to achieve a solution that improves their quality of life and give them a solution to their health situation.
We investigated with medical personnel who have explained the affectation of people who suffer from alterations in pulmonary ventilation due to different pathologies.

Honestly, I got an idea that I think it can help people, literally change their lives. I want to do it and want to make it real, even so. I can't do that by myself right now.

Currently, there are insulin pumps, which are portable systems that allow diabetics to be monitored and supply insulin requirements minute by minute. In the same way, there are transcutaneous meters of oxygen levels in the blood. In this way, medical biotechnology will allow the design of a capillary that permits the necessary oxygen to enter the blood, extracting it directly from the air and in a portable way.

To develop the capillary device.
It is a project in the design stage. Therefore, it will take more time than a year in the different phases of testing, experimentation, and development. It is necessary to find a team of Biomedical engineers to develop it.
Our team has been working on the study of the pathophysiology, research methodology, review of local biomedical teams that could support in later phases of design and implementation.
