Freedom Crypto
Freedom Crypto, is an app that supports the youth in the developing world, to grow their investments to become pillars in society, where governing systems are against their economic empowerment.
Our team would like to create an app, that is a cryptocurrency so we can intentionally make the volatility of the investment process in these kind of investment/banking spaces, benefit the youth of the developing world, so they can have financial freedom to impact their lives and their societies lives.
As young people, we have found that our cultural systems here in Africa and other parts of the developing world, and even in more economically developed countries that used to be like us literally, have cultures that undermine the youth, for the benefit of the older generations success.
Besides giving them a space to grow the money they already earn, we want to also offer financial literacy training.
In the future, we'd like to give scholarships for young women and girls from developing nations, to study STEM, since our societies enforce dowry as a way to get freedom from their families.
How our cryptocurrency will function, is entirely based on how the CFO and CTO, will think. There is no current cryptocurrency that has been established to intentionally make other people's investments grow consistently.
This is a new idea.
What is affecting the youth of the developing world, is something that is barely documented and doesn't even have statistics.
Mostly because, it is culturally accepted for every person to consider themselves their own dynasty with it's investment from within their family, since everyone has their own land.
The problem for the youth comes in where, they are considered to be the one's carrying their dynasties, them and women.
This issue comes out in ugly ways such as, child sacrifice.
A part of the world that acknowledges that we sacrifice children is, Uganda.
You can look at the current legislation of laws over child sacrifice there, and watch a video on Lad Bible about it from activist, Annie Ikpa.
Child sacrifice is often used in a form of spiritual abuse, sometimes with bodily mutilation or possession of the spirit of the individual.
Because of these things, is why education systems are poor, employment and so many other things.
Men are behind this toxic culture, they intially used women to have children to empower themselves, just as Western countries did.
Which is another reason why so many women didn't speak out. Women themselves aren't any better, they'd also use this to their advantage.
So a child, often grows up knowing, they can't trust anyone who is older than them.
Culture is often the factor, as to why African youth suffer and why their societies are deplorable.
The system as it is, only benefits the rich.
We believe that science, and some good energy can combat that.
Our target population will first be, young women from the age of 12 to 35, who work in the informal sector, where many youths earn money.
We will be selective about those who use our crypto from outside of this group, because they'd probably be informants and destroy the vision.
The rich here do not believe in supporting their economy, they do not share money. It hasn't been in circulation for the poor in Kenya, since the 2003 government.
We especially want to invest first in sex workers, who often work the jobs they do here not out of choice, but because generally in Africa, men sleep with you always to get a job position even a menial one.
Culturally, men in Africa only give you power and support if you sleep with them.
We want to support men from this society too, since they are the population that works more than women.
But we're being selective with these men, if we're making men rich here they better have something good they'd want to do in society.
People here just want more access to finances and resources and this will help that in that mission. Since government doesn't support them, we will.
We've lived this experience in different ways. Especially the CEO, has been doing extensive research on African culture and other cultures of people of color.
She's a healer, through sound she creates new realities for people. By inspiring them, they change.
Without knowing, our CEO has been helping so many young people heal and become successful.
She was not always raised in this culture and it was kept away from her until, she graduated from highschool and began experiencing it's negative effects more and realizing there was a collective problem for the basis of why we have poor economies, as she managed artists and inspired innovator's.
She has survived several attempts on her life by her mum and her associates and for her activism on the environment.
That and some other representational roles in NGOs, like the UNEP, UNEA children and youth representation, a fellowship program for leadership with Jane Goodall Roots and Shoots that took her to public schools in the country and rural areas to help kids with education and literacy.
These, are some of the few experiences she has had with helping the youth.
She just found our CTO, we have not yet been able to develop the program or show it's design. But we are certain, people will be receptive of it.
- Improving financial and economic opportunities for all (Economic Prosperity)
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
Concept, because we just found our CTO.
- A new use of an existing technology (e.g. application to a new problem or in a new location)
We're just using an app, and Blockchain tech, to be able to have a cryptocurrency.
- Blockchain
- Software and Mobile Applications
- Kenya
We're in the conception process, so no one yet.
We'd want to invest in our app user's a hundred dollars ontop of their personal investment in the crypto.
Only user's from underprivileged backgrounds, get a hundred dollar investment.
In the future, if people we work with are into social impact and are privileged, we'll invest money in them too.
We want to impact at least 60 to 100 lives first, within East Africa, starting from Uganda, where the cost of living is cheap to start, a start up. They also acknowledge the problem.
We'd also like to see if our budget, can allocate our C.T.O to be in Oman, so that's the main Hq of the crypto since they don't tax people by law. We'd also probably bag, charitable clientele from that part of the world and build on our crypto clientele.
Outside of that, we'd want to get other users, who aren't underprivileged, at least 1000 from across the continent, within a year.
Then we can branch out, and collect more people from developed nations and so on to join our crypto.
How we'd measure our growth through SDG's, will be based on targeting: no poverty, peace, justice and strong institutions and gender equality.
The only thing that can limit our impact, is government knowing how we operate and where we are. They do not want society to develop.
So we're hiding, and our announcement as winner's, is the only evidence of our existence until ten years pass, and we have a following of over a million users.
Our buildings will either be bought properties or residential properties, where our clients can meet us and no one would suspect anything.
I've already discussed the C.E.O background in leadership, in the proposal's question in the first two pages.
She does not have an academic background after highschool. She did the British system of education in the first tech school in Sub-Saharan Africa here, in Nairobi, Kenya.
She has been educated both in South Africa & New Zealand.
It was disrupted by her abusive mother, who came back to Kenya to be a corrupt leader, as her father went onto develop science and be a better person.
She only did one year of University, at Daystar university here in Kenya.
The C.T.O (Chief Technology Officer) will be named, Adam.
He was raised with a diaspora background like the C.E.O and went to highschool in Kenya, an international one, based on the British system of education.
He's 23, and has been coding for seven years, and just graduated with his degree with honors from, University in Nairobi, in Computer Science.
He's worked as tech support in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Kenya.
He mines his own crypto, has his own properties.
The C.F.O the lead of the project is, Evelyn Njeri.
I went to a National highschool here in Kenya, (meaning one of the top schools in the country) Karima girls high school. I got a high B, 66 points.
After that I worked at a school in the rural area where I come from.
I was a nursery school teacher for five months then, did computer packages.
I later studied and graduated last year from, Jommo Kenyatta University, with a BSc. in Banking and Finance.
After completing JKUAT, I worked at a debt collection company ( Hi- life) for Sapesa app.
I am now a part-time mother for my sister's baby, who passed on late last year from Covid.
We aren't working with any currently.
- No
- Yes
Our app directly impacts society, it will create change. We just need to find the right people to invest in and put penalties for removal of funds, so people see value appreciates when you save more than when you spend.
