What is your solution?

PersonaRise is an edTech startup that makes learning new skills easier and job search simpler, less complicated and stressful.

Our goal is to help anyone learn new highly demanded skills, increase their standard of living and radically boost their income this year and beyond.

PersonaRise is developing cutting-edge software for learning & development (L&D). As we grow, we will continue to penetrate countries, we will keep improving our software to make online education cheaper and available for everyone.

We implement a smart AI system that helps learners create an interview-ready resume or CV and automatically determine which skills or possible careers learners will thrive in based on their behavioural characteristics.

What specific problem are you trying to solve?

We took a survey and asked online learners about their challenges in using their current online learning platforms and what they don't like about the platform they use.

90% of survey respondents said, "poor internet connection, data and lengthy video were the major problems penned by these respondents when they're taking a course online".

Over 2 billion people globally are left behind because they have no access to stable home internet according to a new joint report from UNICEF and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

This means over 2 billion people are faced with the problem of poor internet connection globally.

This results in 90% of online learners abandoning their courses and not completing them - thereby resulting from low talent quality in the workforce.

PersonaRise is an edTech startup that makes learning new skills easier and job search simpler, less complicated and stressful. Our goal is to help anyone learn new highly demanded skills, increase their standard of living and radical boost their income this year and beyond.

PersonaRise is developing cutting-edge software for learning & development (L&D). Our software gives these users the ability to download these skills-based courses offline and take them on the go, our system also provides users with the closest location in which they can access an internet facility (cafe) to resolve their network issues and our course contents are very short and precise.

As we grow, we will be investing in developing hardware technologies that will allow learners in remote areas to access our skills-based content and other educational materials in the future.

What steps have you taken to understand the needs of the population you want to serve?

In the past, one of our founders Emmanuel Isika has worked with two EdTech companies in Nigeria and India and he has industrial experience in the industry.

In 2021, He kicked off the Skill Up Program under YIEE where candidates from over 5 countries in Africa including Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Namibia and Kenya were represented as fellow willing to transition into tech. One major challenge faced was due to the inability of these fellows to fund their internet connection.

PersonaRise materialised afterwards.

PersonaRise is constantly engaging with our users through surveys on our product and what features they want us to build. This is a sign that we will be a success because brands who care about their customers never fail.

Improving learning opportunities and outcomes for learners across their lifetimes, from early childhood on (Learning)

Our solution's stage of development:

Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model

Explain why you selected this stage of development for your solution—in other words, what have you accomplished to date?

After discovering the problem, Emmanuel quickly acts on it by drafting a solution and speaking with friends who are now co-founder on building the solution.

After finalizing the minimum viable product flow, PersonaRise hired a product designer to develop the prototype design.

We're currently developing the prototype while running a survey to reach 1000 customers to understand their needs and build a product they love.

PersonaRise has launched a waiting list to complement all marketing efforts too.
