ScholaScope
ScholaScope is a social media platform that is geared to students and universities. Our purpose is to unify admissions applications and help students apply to opportunities with one click.
ScholaScope is an online education admissions service via the website (www.scholascope.com) launched in August 2021, the platform’s purpose is to unify higher educational institutes’ applications and to help students match with their most suitable program and apply easily to that program with one click. Our vision is to become the (Linkedin) of education admissions.
This platform is going to have:
- One last application created by the student and saved as their profile, and having all their documents attached (Passport, Transcripts, degrees... ETC).
- One profile to each university or college that can be verified and post opportunities with information for students (Tuition fees, entry requirements, scholarships... ETC).
- Direct communication between universities and students.
- Universities can post and advertise their opportunities on the platform.
- AI matching system, that helps suitable students, and universities find each other based on (Budget declared by students, countries of interest... ETC).
- Filteration system for universities, a database within the University's profile, and access to all students interested in their countries.
The problem we are trying to tackle is that finding and applying to universities nowadays is a hectic process,
Every time, a student would have to do tons of research, create a profile put all of their information, write their statement of purpose and motivation letters, then find the right course and check the entry requirements. Each application could take up to 8 hours of work which leaves the students devastated.
It is so devastating to apply which led around 80% of students in Jordan to give up on their application and turn to 3rd parties to apply on their behalf. This has created an agent monopoly that controls the admissions of each university, and it's super expensive for both students and universities.
On the other end, the applications usually take between two weeks and two months to be processed by the university, and if the application was done by an agent, the university pays up to 12% of the tuition fees back to the agents, on top of all that, universities receive thousands of underqualified applicants which consume their admissions office time.
The university's admissions systems algorithms have been there since the 11th century, and they receive minor updates every now and then. It is about time to revolutionize the system and democratize education.
ScholaScope is targeting international students who are seeking to study out of their countries from one end, undergraduates, and postgraduates. All genders, aged between 17-30+
And from another end, We are targeting International Universities and colleges that are constantly recruiting international students.
I am myself was suffering from the same problems, until I worked with the University of East Anglia, and realized the amount of money spent in the wrong channels to recruit new students. However, I have seen many students who are trying to apply and failing many times because of the lack of understanding of the entry requirements.
When I started ScholaScope, a simple $10 ad on Facebook was enough to fill my database with over 800+ students, which drove me crazy and I knew that I needed to automate the process.
ScholaScope has helped over 25 candidates get into the right university, and or college, and we have an acceptance rate of 100% so far.
- Improving learning opportunities and outcomes for learners across their lifetimes, from early childhood on (Learning)
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model
ScholaScope has just launched its MVP and working on signing 300 MOUs with different universities and colleges, and we also are inviting 1000+ students to our database to create their profiles on the MVP.
Because we just launched on, 15th of Nov. 2021, we are still testing and debugging, and we have about 10 organic users already.
- A new use of an existing technology (e.g. application to a new problem or in a new location)
Our MVP is a website that has been created from scratch using Drupal coding language.

The global number of students who study abroad continues to rise with an annual increase of 10%. There were almost 5 million international students in 2014.
The (OECD) has projected that, with demographic changes, the international
the student population is likely to increase to 8 million international students by
2025.
Since we are about to launch, ScholaScope is looking to serve 350 students next year at more than 100 Universities and Colleges.
ScholaScope is looking to build up a big database of Scholarship opportunities in which qualified students can apply to it easily. These scholarships will allow people of low income/refugees/displaced/people from rural areas to apply instantly and show off their different talents and mindsets.
We are hoping to maximize our reach to serve over 100 students of the above-mentioned audience with fully/partially funded scholarships.
While ScholaScope is planning on launching its own scholarship to students, we will manage to at least achieve 10% of our target instantly by choosing random candidates on our websites who are in need of our scholarships.
We are helping with the SDGs in the following cases:
1- Quality education
2- No poverty
3- Gender equality
4- Decent work and economic growth
ScholaScope will be using numerical data (Database, indicators, and Client Satisfaction surveys, etc.) to measure whether things are getting better. while keep working hard to reach an 80% success rate reducing from 60% rejection on average per student per year, by matching the right students with the right program, presenting the opportunity to the correct targeted audience, and make eligibility tests (for the requirements of the universities) to prove the candidate’s qualifications.
Students who are getting rejected will easily apply to different universities, one with more matching standards.
By comparing data and analyzing the outcomes of each year of the accepted and rejected rates and tackling the issues students/universities face, and raising the awareness of the opportunity reach and applying methods, ScholaScope will hold the opportunities and give them to students who truly qualify the universities requirements.
ScholaScope will also take webinars with embassies in Jordan and initiate awareness sessions on how to apply for international students and avoid Visa rejection (60% Visa Rejection rate in Jordan to students who apply for the US) for the benefit of studying abroad and will document the numbers of acceptance rate’s rising.
