Talento
A digital platform that helps clubs recruit players in a more efficient way while lessening the economic burden players have to endure to reach opportunities.
We provide an easy to use app and digital platform that allows the soccer player to showcase their talent and other necessary data to clubs, that in turn, receive a more efficient and cost effective solution to their youth scouting neccesities. It is also important to mention that part of the plan of the project is to include a key associate into the mix: the amateur sports coach. For many years, sport coaches have been neglected and underpaid, casing many other problems that directly affected soccer players' chance to success. Having experienced this, we have decided to make them an important piece to the project, where they will be able to become more financially stable and in turn create a better, safer and trustworthy context around the player in order for them to trhive and reach their potential.
We specifically solve the inequality of opportunities based on geographical and contextual disadvantages in soccer.
Many kids dream on becoming professional soccer players, and because of their lack of opportunities in other areas of their life, it is sometimes the only way they will be able to reach a level of economic stability that might help them get out of whatever unfortunate situation they might be in.
We dont consider our business a "recruiting business", instead, we think of it as a way of helping our community in a way which has historically produced a viable path for people with less opportunities in life to become financially stable and abundant: Soccer.
We want to help people in LATAM and other parts of the world by giving them direct access to opportunities via a trustworthy platform in a cost effective and efficient way. By doing this, we help them by:
- Avoid trips that take a heavy toll in their limited economic situation in order to reach this opportunity without actually knowing if they will get accepted.
- Avoid scams from people claiming to give them opportunities in exchage for hefty sums of money. (This is something that happens quite often).
- Giving them direct access to international teams leagues and access to opportunities outside their home country.
We have created a minimim viable product and various events that have served as validation to some aspects of the project.
- Improving financial and economic opportunities for all (Economic Prosperity)
- Pilot: An organization deploying a tested product, service, or business model in at least one community
Our platform has around 4,500 users with 0 marketing expenses. Everything we have achieved has come through organically. We are currently working to improve the platform for our users, start alliances and partnerships with clubs and grow our team in order to get the neccesary knowledge to develop certain areas of the business.
- A new use of an existing technology (e.g. application to a new problem or in a new location)
We use basic programming languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript) to create the digital platform. We are currently planning on extending our technological solution to upcoming technologies such as blockchain and smart contracts and see where they can fit to provide an even better solution in the project.
- Big Data
- Software and Mobile Applications
- Mexico
it currently serves around 5,000 soccer players and we plan to acquire more than 50,000 users in the next year.
Our goals are to position 100 kids or more in professional soccer teams.
We are planning to implement KPIs that will help us gain key data to provide tailored solutions and to develop a better user experience. By knowing where clubs are looking and signing from the most, we can then invest resources into that area to further the reach and the level of soccer players. On the other hand, we will use data to know what places are laking the most, expand on such problem, and invest resources (if applicable) to help the community overcome the problems.
We currently dont have the neccessary skillset in the team to develop the level of product we need to serve the public.
Sasan Funes and Luis Valencia have been soccer players since they were little kids. Throughout their journey, they experiencied first-hand of the sacrifices needed to actually be seen and be presented with opportunities.
Sasan Funes travelled to England for trials, having to go through intermediaries in order to reach scouts. Even though they promised transparency, he didnt receive no feedback whatsoever on if he was or wasnt selected.
On the other hand, Luis Valencia tried a different approach, looking out for opportunities with professional teams in Mexico. While such opportuinities were more direct, the club didnt help kids travelling from other states with monetary costs, causing many with great potential to have to go back to their town or city. Even though the club knew this problem existed, they didnt make any effort whatsoever to reduce the number of days the trial lasted in order to lessen the economic burden the kids had to endure.
Having lived many similar experiencies, our first priority when we started this project has not been to sell a service or to make money straight away. We took the actions needed to learn more from the other side of the coin we had no experience in, the club's point of view. 3 years later, we now have the knowledge and experience to offer an all-round, inovative solution that could make the prospecting and recruiting process much more fair and efficient.
We are currently in the accelerator and incubator of UDG (Universidad de Guadalajara) through which they help us reach out to people and institutions that can help us on our journey.
