AI, Focus: Tagalog and Related Languages as a Resource
Using the unique characteristic found in the language of the Philippines as a way to teach AI and computer technology.
Children who grew speaking Tagalog in the Philippines are using what is called the focus, a key part of the language. A proposed online course would allow students to use that resource as a way to learn about attention in articifial intelligence, especially with Machine Learning and what is called Deep Learning.
- Strengthen delivery of STEM and 21st century skills for learners to effectively build work readiness

I want to start with how the solution being presented is an existing online course that is available to educators in the Philippines. However, the enterprise is not physically present in the Philippines.
In the Philippines, there are a variety of languages and dialects. What is called Focus is found in Tagalog and various dialects. The problem is how to reach this group in a way that encourages cultural issues such as the language and at the same introduces science and technology into the curriculum. This solution is approaching education from this perspective.
It can help many students learn about technology in way where they have the confidence of their own language as a learning resource.
It teaches computer science in the Philippines in an innovative way.
