Modi real world data in the real-world through AR.
Modi allows cities to scale augmented reality to waypoint, manage and associate data with spatial context.
Problem: Maintaining equipment and infrastructure is vital to making sure resilience in the face of increased storm, sea, and tidewater can be handled in crisis events. Information is critical in a crisis situation to insure that individuals and equipment are performing correctly to reduce risks of damage or provide timely support in a potential flooding event.
Solution: Modi is an augmented reality platform that allows individuals and teams to communicate more effectively and provides a solution to associate data with spatial context. Modi is a mobile and web platform that allows the combination of vision science and GPS to associate data in the real-world. Modi allows teams and city leaders to have a complete picture of all relvant data, personnel in field and flood data. Data can be placed on equipment to provide instructions, capture maintenance history or overlay internet connected data which will insure proper actions have been taken to keep equipment operating. Users can use Modi to track people, assets and information in a more intuitive and easy to relate method that utilizes augmented reality to waypoint and connect data.
How our solution will change the world: We created an AR platform called Modi where they can quickly create and manage AR content which has lowered the barrier to entry for an AR solution. Our focus is to be the AR interface for cities, enterprise and our military. Enterprise AR posed to be 47.7 billion a year market by 2021, and we plan on being a software company that provides a simple and scalable solution to meet customer needs, now and in the future.

Augmented Reality is the overlay of data into the real-world. Our solution connects data and provides spatial context for information. Our solution allows you to connect people, videos, training step by step instructions, pdf, and any digital media item to a location in our world making that information more relevant and easier to understand it's context. Information is vital to understanding flooding, maintaining awareness and maintaining equipment that is critical to cities infrastructure.
We rely heavily on cutting edge mobile technology and advancement in head mounted displays. Our team is heavily focused on building augmented reality mobile solutions to tablet and phones which can be used by millions of people today. We are also testing our Modi platform on devices like Daqri smart glasses, Microsoft HoloLens and Realwear head mounted displays, though these devices are still in development, they show the promise of how augmented reality will be a wearable that will blend the world with digital content.
In the next 12 months we want to add remote video telepresence support, which will allow users to connect to each other and provide communication through video chat. Over the next year we plan on providing more integrations with other third party content, such as dropbox, autoCAD, sketchfab and weather channel to name a few. We see enriching our platform with more content and allowing users to add additional features to add benefits where they can incorporate data they already own or have previously created.
Information is spatial and we hope to provide the bridge to connect and share content in the world. We hope that modi is a platform that evolves to help give information no matter what the context is have a place or address in the world. We know the future will be wearables and we look forward to our data being viewed on future head mounted displays which will make Modi's data an natural piece to our environment.

Our team consists of mobile, web and UI/UX talent that specializes in creating augmented reality and mobile solutions. Our team has worked with the US Navy and SOCOM to provide cutting edge technology to advance our war fighters capabilities.
We currently work with companies to pilot our software in their enterprise ($50,000- $150,000). The public version will be free, small business ( $20 per user/month), enterprise ($105 per user/month). We plan to expand our solution to android by 2019.
Connecting with MIT will allow us to expand our network and connect with experts solving the reliance challenge. We hope to get more exposure for our Modi platform and find new verticals where our solution can provide meaningful return on investment.
Augmented reality is a relativity new solution and it's advancing very quickly. We hope to work with Solve to find new areas where augmented reality can provide insights or solve issues with this new technology.
