NeeKids
Working with special educational needs is expensive in time, effort and money.
Millions upon millions of resources are released every year, ans parents and professionals need to pick the right ones for every child needs.
Our recommendation system and virtual assistant makes this process fast, easy, and affordable.
2 out of 5 children have special educational needs. Around 900 hundred million in the world
They require specialized programs and strategies adapted to their individual needs to not fall behind. And parents, special schools, and educational professionals don't have the time, the know-how, or the resources to give this personalized education for every child all the time.
In LATAM only 3% of schools have special educational needs programs.
This is causing many children to fall behind, with NeeKids we can close this gap, and bring a tool to every school, and every home school that enables carers to personalized programs and strategies for every child neurodidactic profile.
NeeKids is a SaaS platform that performs neurodidactic and neuropsychological tests, recommending the best educational programs, resources and strategies for every child neurodidactic profile.
We have our proprietary algorithms for recommendations, and a brand new innovation in special education assessmet methodology called the "Neurodidactic Tree"
Right now millions of parents are distressed for their child's school performance. Because they have special educational needs. And everyday, thousands of educational resources are released to these 17 billion dollar market. But parents don’t know which one is the best for their child special need.
We serve those parents and education professionals, that need a platform to use R.P.A and recommendatiuon systems to get the best help for their apprentices.
We are currently working with many parents with educational needs, and special education solution distributors, we do weekly semminars, and meet online with school directos since before covid started.
At the moment we have gathered a lot of insights to drive our solution to the pain points in our niche market: special education schools, home schools, hospital schools, and individual pedagogic practices.
- Promote the assessment and recognition of skills developed outside the formal educational system
Our solution is aligned with the following challenge: "Promote the assessment and recognition of skills developed outside the formal educational system".
Learning disabilities, learning difficulties, and special educational needs, are areas of education that focus on specific variables to help a child improve over his neurodiversity and individual characteristics. For this reason we want our tool to be in the hands of every special education teacher, and parent that needs it.
This is why we created our methodology "The Neurodidactic Tree", and is being built on, and validated constantly by fellow teachers and researchers, based on 60 years on neurodidactic investigation.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth.
We have a full fledge SaaS system, with all functionalities live, including our recommendation system, e-commerce platform, subscription system, neurodidatic profile assessments, automatic tests, and many more features.
We are currently working with the community of Pichilemu in Chile, and selling our platform to B2B and B2C customers.
We are still at an early stage, and validating our marketing methodologies for our niche, but growing at leat 20% every week in subscribers, prospects and clients.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Our solution is innovative because of the he Neurodidactic Profiles that are constructed based on digital psychopedagogical tests and the machine learning recommendation algorithms that match users with the best Special Educational Needs (S.E.N) Programs.
Our core technology is an Artificial Intelligence that is the center of our recommendation system. These algorithms are unique, and use the a neurodidactic methods and neuroscience principles to create personalized recommendations.
We have been publishing our findings in our blog: https://arbolneurodidactico.co...
Also you can find many realted articles to recommendation systems in education that uses a similar approach to ours in the following pages using keywords like ReSys, Recommendation Systems, Artificial Intelligence in Education, Neuroscience and Neurodidactics.

We created this product with a very small team with background in computer science, EdTech, and behavioral science.
We have 2 people working full-time and 1 person working half time. With the help of freelancers and other services.
CEO - Carla Andreina Leal, is a methodologist in innovation with EdTech and NeuroTech platforms (SPA's, LMS's, CMS's, PWA's), she's also a trained psychopedagodogist, expert in neuroeducation, and author of different books and educational programs related to special educational needs. Her motivation is that no children with special educational needs is left behind.
CTO - Simón Pedro Hernández is a Full-stack Developer, PMP and serial entrepeneur for more than 12 years, expert in building and managing technical teams and projects; working with StartUps from YC Combinator, Start-Up Chile, Wayra Telefonica Open Future, 500 StartUps, Facebook Start, an active author in the innnovation ecosystem. His main motivation is his belief that innovation is the key to solve inequality and poverty.
We like to work with diversity and neurodiversity, since that's the goal of our company, to bring inclusion into the world.
The working culture is mostly ROWE (Results Only Work Environment), this is possible at the moment because we have a very small team, and can allow a lot of freedom in how we achieve those goals and timelines.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
We aim to be a solution loved by parents, pedagogical professionals and children with special educational needs.
The barriers we face as an early stage solution, revolve around credibility and awareness. We hope that winning the prize will allow us to gain more exposition, authority and leverage to grow.
Our vision is to expand to more countries, help more educational systems, and cross the borders in latin-america and then the world.
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Legal or Regulatory Matters
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Monitoring & Evaluation (e.g. collecting/using data, measuring impact)
We are projecting that works heavily with computer science and neuroscience, two very complex fields. Also, using the tools from those sicences to help achieve educational goals for children with specialized needs, requires a lot of research, following, experimentation and the help of other professionals, consultant and experts.
This is why we need to be in the top playing field regarding EdTech and NeuroTech acceleration and development of early stage projects. And any help great partners like MIT, and the TPrize Challenge can provide.
We hope to get attention from partners like 500 startups and YC combinator, to help us achive new milestones and capital goals.
In our industry of EdTech, having the support of goverments, NGO's and academic institutes is a big advantage. Reaching out to organization like the WHO (World Health Organization), UNICEF, and UNESCO.
Being a Tech Startup, validation from the tecnológico de Monterrey and the MIT, will help us advance further to attract high profile technological talent, investors and specialized partners.
