Our pitch:
Around the world, many coastal areas are suffered by an unusual natural disaster such as hurricane, typhoon, tsunami, etc.
After these disaster or heavy rain, it is a difficult task to track where the floodwater is accumulating in real time.
And rescue teams cannot reach the area where the help is really needed.
Other systems to detect flood are already used but this will be the innovation idea to reduce the cost.
How can we track that flooding area ?
There are many different ways to detect flood water level.
We thought this 2 design before.
(1)Detected by using floating balls
(2)Detected by using fixed water level sensing bars
Above two designs have their different weakness.For example, not getting exact information. To overcome these problems,
we prepare with “Flood detection System Using Flood Detector”.
Flood Detector is our own design and it have no sensor.It mean we don't need to buy it. It is just a plastic ball and some components for data communication such as PIC, Wifi module or RF module,battery and some little components are placed inside the ball.Internet module is need in specific ball.This ball is placed inside the PVC pipe.The ball has 4 flanges and these are used as a sensor.The flanges may be kind of metal and inner wall of the PVC pipe has 4 sensing points at 4 different sides as in photo above. We just use the nature of current.When a flanges reaches the sensing point, it make a connection between power supply and the circuit inside the ball and sent the data to the adjacent detector. Data are sent node to node and when reach the specific node, it sent using IOT technology.Some water touching between the flanges and sensing point can make the connection but we set the delay in program to sent data when the water is actually reaching this sensing point.On the top of the PVC pipe,there is a small solar panel to charge the battery inside the ball.Many detectors are placed in the coastal area and we can mapping finally.So actual conditions can know and inform people to leave to this place or go for rescue if needed.

Flooding can be seen by using satellite but how we know the water level.Our solution can solve this problem.So rescue team can decide where to go first and where is not intense yet.

We are from University of Technology (Yatanarpon Cyber City) and five are from Electronic Engineering and the other one is from Advanced Materials Engineering.
