emerging countries lack access to adequate living standards and
services; nonetheless, these communities do what they can to
survive.
The end goal focus is in making the necessary efforts to live
through another day (short-term solutions to life-long needs and wants).
This mind set has kept people in an impoverished state for
decades. It is time to innovate this current business environment
by embracing creative ideas that allow for growth and easy
concept replication while minimizing set-up costs.

Over the past year with the COVID crisis, the disparity in
income has increased further as salaries have remained
stagnant, let alone speak of outright job losses. Everyone

The idea is in repurposing used shipping containers which is not a new in itself.  However the additional step of linking these various units on a common software platform can create more value and profits for locally run businesses by diminishing their overhead costs thereby increasing their operating efficiency and ROI

Entrepreneurs will not only have access to a number of tools on a platform, real-world business education techniques, enhanced connectivity with buyer/seller/consumer.  For the first time in Haiti in the area of Business Development, the entrepreneur will have the possibility to CO-Own the Asset and/or eventually own it outright. If the model works, the 1-2-1 IN-A-BOX platform can be expanded by franchising His/her Idea or Business model and continue to grow their Asset Value and revenue stream or as a template for creating other Franchises based on this Successful method of operation.

BLOCKCHAIN SUSTAINABILITY

Blockchain as primary transparent technology which helps to enhance confidence in the system and its users. Someone will not be able to cheat the system and get away with it. Every transaction is being recorded, they will be accountable for. 

Sustainability as a primary goal of the infrastructure will require, Waste Management, Energy, Water, Natural Disaster Resistance. The Box will be MONITORED. The renewable energy components that make the box is aimed at making it a NET ZERO system. Fully Resilient and Self Sustainable. 

The main design includes excess energy allowing for Light to be available in its perimeter at nights for the community or an energy buyback scenario if a local utility is willing to do so. 

Blockchain is already fully operational in Haiti via MONCASH. A mobile wallet system with over 10,000,000 monthly transactions fool proof without error. 

MONCASH is and will be our primary payment solution. Also capable of receiving and handling remittances directly from the Diaspora who already subsidize over 60% of the Haitian Economy.  

The placement of this technology introduces potential Land Dispute Risk. 

Land Dispute is Haiti's number 1 Development problem because antiquated record keeping at the national level can lead unclear ownership.

Our first approach consists of using ONLY government held property which can be leased on a 100 years period or less. 

To install a box, you must have a land space availability to locate the box. 

If there is a dispute or for any reason, we can close it and move the BOX to another location. (One of the main reasons a containerized solution is a more viable one)

 Crane and Truck removes the business from the area in an hour. 

Presently our solutions serves no-one. 

A 1-2-1 Tech Team presently operates in Haiti supporting and sustaining a current base of Water and Energy clients. 

This has the potential to serve over 1,000,000 people over the next five years and can reach the 10,000,000 or so underserved in Haiti within 20 years. 

Apart from looking for investors and participating in competitions such as this one, we also are looking to set up a non-profit foundation that could fund the initial business development for sustainable job and value creation. Replication is the driving force of this model.

There are not metrics as yet available as we are still trying to get the first box built and deployed.

Maintenance is key to sustainability and this is where we are best at. 

Our technical team focuses on follow up, Monitoring and Maintenance.

This will extend the life of the investment and reach a better break-even-point before products are destroyed or become obsolete.

Infrastructure development is always the major impediment in Haiti as it costs a lot of money to be sustainable without any assistance from COUNTRY/CITY or MUNICIPALITY towards building it. Therefore, we must deploy energy grids and water generation and/or harvesting to sustain these initiatives.

The 121 technical team is composed of both men and woman in an age range from 23 to 66. 

We already have woman lead person as supervisor of our solar install and maintenance teams. 

 Diversity is in the DNA of 121.

Our empowerment effort is better for the business in the long-run and makes us more effective in our projects as our staff has ownership in the successful outcome of our interventions.

 Last but not least this is a minority-owned business.

The TPrize can give us an increased market visibility which in turn can attract new mentors and/or partners. We are also in need of various experts in all the facets of the project. Its viability rest on been able to find like-minded individuals that really understand this vision and can land their support to propagate the concept in other areas of the Caribbean and Latin America.

We are wide open to input and suggestions that make the concept even more viable.

There are already a great number of US based companies that are right now converting shipping containers. We want to find one or several that would willing to teach our local workforce how best to do so. The price point of locally modified container would be much less than one imported from the US. and therefore enable us to make a more forceful market impact.
