In Latin America, our youth access to spaces for co-creation, decision making, and influence on the eco-social issues are very limited. This situation has been aggravated by the complex social, political and economic situation of the countries, which has deepened as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ignorance of the SDGs, the lack of formal mechanisms for participation and excessive governmental centralism, in a predominantly young country, urges us to create spaces to strengthen the involvement of our youth by promoting sustainable projects and ideas for the environment.
Taking into account that the pandemic times will last for a few more months in the region, in this project, Vitalis will promote the training and involvement of a prominent group of young people from latin america, through a training-action program, which will empower a group of young leaders who will promote the purposes and goals of environmental management.
Supported by the Vitalis Virtual Campus, and since most of the efforts will be carried out online (remotely), we can cover all Latin America.
Entrepreneurs stand out for their developed sense of opportunity, generating alternatives in the face of problems and difficulties. They also stand out for their success-oriented approach, making decisions that control their own time and destiny to achieve their purposes.
However, in the organization and development of their ventures, not all entrepreneurs achieve the highest efficiency and effectiveness. Not always do they have a clear vision of what they intend to achieve with their actions, nor do they have a plan that articulates effectively its strategic steps to achieve the expected results, based on the goals established in the short, medium and long term, in order to guarantee the sustainability of its actions.
In the first six months, the virtual and face-to-face training program will be emphasize. In this stage, the participants will reinforce different areas necessary to achieve the expected success:
• The strategic map of entrepreneurship
• Fundamental legal aspects of entrepreneurship
• Fundraising and reporting to donors
• Administration and finance of the entrepreneurship
• Financial sustainability of the project
• Free online resources for entrepreneurs
• Communications and social networks
• Internal and External Communications
The second stage covers six months of support through coaching and mentoring, workshops for preparation and evaluation.

ICT permeates all aspects of life, providing newer, better, and quicker ways for people to interact, network, seek help, gain access to information, and learn. Besides its presence everywhere, Information and Communication Technology has an immense economic significance.
Computers have supplied infinite resources for learning and made education more flexible and easy to access. Students can now gain knowledge and information not only from classroom assignments and libraries but also from available online resources.
At Vitalis we have the most modern distance education platform, with professionals in different countries who maintain a stake in our Virtual Campus.
One of the most important aspects of successfully learning a language is regular speaking and listening practice. Traditional courses often offer little in the way of quality practice outside of scheduled classroom hours. A digital learning platform changes this by allowing students to log in and converse with their fellow learners whenever they want. Not only does this mean that students are likely to be far more successful in their learning goals, it also helps them to easily feel part of the student community. They will have the opportunity to log into a virtual classroom to see and chat with different students world wide whenever they choose, or the chance to have a live conversation class with a tutor.

It’s clear that there are many, many benefits to using a virtual campus. By investing in these digital spaces by installing a learning management system (LMS), language schools can enhance the experience of their student community by making it easier for them to access a virtual classroom, core course material, additional learning resources, tutor assistance and peer support.

Among its more than 175 projects, Vitalis developed with great success the program to strengthen civil organizations, which allowed the training of leaders of more than 450 organizations, supported by its manual "ABC of NGOs", an experience that has been successfully replicated in other countries. Today, it incorporates fundamental aspects of the entrepreneurial culture in its coaching efforts, to ensure the sustainability of organizations, promoting the culture of entrepreneurship within base organizations. Vitalis encourages projects that benefit citizens, and that attend, foster or promote environmentally friendly and socially acceptable solutions for those problems related to the unsustainable use of natural resources or ignorance of their importance for human populations.
In its projects and/or programs, Vitalis encourages the formation of multidisciplinary teams, in order to enrich their methodological orientation, complement professional visions and maintain high standards of technical performance.
In professional performance, Vitalis Associates play a fundamental role.
They lead, coordinate, and motivate collaborators, volunteers, experts, influencers, donors, and anyone else they consider strategic to involve. They also report to the thematic leaders, the Director General and the Ibero-American Council, measuring our progress
Following are some guiding principles for the design and implementation of projects and programs in Vitalis, which should:
Aim for the achievement of the institutional mission. Any initiative outside of it must have the approval of the Ibero-American Council.
Encourage multidisciplinary approaches, with the technical and scientific rigor that characterizes the organization.
Have a general purpose or objective, and specific objectives, in addition to a sufficiently clear breakdown with at least the activities planned for each objective, its goals and the indicators of expected results and impacts.
Have an associate who coordinates it, and who will be responsible for reporting to the thematic lead Associate related to the project and / or program, or failing that with the General Director, thus ensuring that the work has organizational support, and is appropriately known and communicated within the network.
Establish interactions with other thematic groups, without the need to go through filters or structures, which reduce operability or responsiveness. This seeks to have initiatives that involve more colleagues or peers, and better Wills, depending on the type of area.
Promote comprehensive and integrated efforts, with at least a clear educational, technical and/or communication component.

According to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), integrating the younger population in development processes is crucial to move towards a better and more balanced society. The young population is close to 160 million people in the region, and in some countries like Venezuela, its proportion will remain highly significant for the next decades. For this population a higher level of education, a relevant training and better preparation for lifelong learning are required, directed towards the appreciation and recognition of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
At Vitalis we are convinced that our young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also of today, they are already making great changes around them that impact the entire world. Either through activism related to climate change, promoting water conservation, or participating in our eco efficient projects that promote ecological efficiency, waste management or biodiversity conservation.
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development, etc.)
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
The project contemplates a term of twelve (12) months, where, through a training program, the participants will be provided with all the necessary tools to ensure that their environmental entrepreneurship meets all the necessary variables to make it profitable, with an eco-social benefit and sustainable over time.
We do not have the financial resources to expand the project to all of Latin America and the Caribbean.
