Givemechallenge is an innovation listing portal for making innovation opportunities accessible to all, over the last 5 years thousands of users have discovered and grabbed opportunities to fund their studies/projects and earned an additional income.

Now we would like to introduce new service in the platform called Innovation award verification services using which even people without formal education qualification or work experience but have won any innovation challenge/competition can use this to showcase their ability to the potential employer/Institution to get a job offer.

which would make the below statement a step closer to reality.

We plan to open a new window of opportunity for historically underserved communities who have the ability to solve real world problems through open innovation.

• Traditional hiring process relies on educational qualifications, past experiences, employee referrals, so that means a large section of population who don't have a very good educational qualification on paper or having a good work experience from a reputed employer or without any contacts or referrals are left out, it is very tough for them to break this great wall of 'job offer'.

• No company would like to hire an employee who doesn't have the educational qualification, work experience or the skill set. So the real problem will be distinguishing these people who don't have a proper degree or prior work experience to prove their skills but they have the skillset that can be useful for the company and can turn out to be an asset for the company, How to spot them?

• Dropping out of high school is positively associated with later crime, its very difficult for a school dropout or college drop out to get back on track with a professional career, until now there is no wild card entry.

• Ability to crack open innovation problems are not considered as an asset while hiring resources, as there is no easy way to verify the claim.

Have you won an innovation challenge/competition, where you have used your skill to solve a real world problem and you think you can send us the proof of the same, then we will verify these information and issue a certificate of authenticity where we will certify that you have won that innovation challenge, the advantage of getting it certified is that you can present it to your potential employer/Institution  and they can verify the certificate online.

The technology used is Wordpress and digitally verifiable certificates with QR codes and data mining to verify the claim of innovation challenge wins. In the future we plan to issue these certificates in Blockcert that is on blockchain but we decided to startout with a much simpler approach for the time being.

School/college drop outs, people without proper formal education, people have gained skills through self learning, Freelancers, people who loves to solve innovation challenges, people who have the skillset to solve real world problems but don't have prior working experience.

What are you doing to understand their needs, and how are you engaging them as you develop the solution? How will the solution address their needs?

We are making innovation competitions, opportunities available to them by collecting them and listing it in Givemechallenge.com, now we are giving them an opportunity to verify their open innovation skills by providing them with a verifiable certificate if they have won any open innovation competition, we also would help to connect people with problem solving capability with employers who are looking for talented people to solve real world problems.

Digital Workforce Challenge is about providing traditionally backward and underserved population with opportunities for career opportunities through jobs, here we plan to disrupt the traditional hiring process by including the ability of employees to solve real world problems which is measured by number of successful innovation challenges/competition they have won.

This will open a window of opportunity for school/college drop outs, people without proper formal education to apply for jobs and get hired based on their innovation and problem solving ability that is identified by their innovation challenge they have successfully cracked.

We have already rolled out this in Givemechallenge, we have partnership with many innovation platforms like Hyve, Eyeka, Innocentive, HeroX and we list thousands of opportunities, so we will be able to verify and issue these certificates.

We have partnered with Give my certificate a platform for organizations to generate and send verifiable document, we have also hired a data analyst to verify the claims by doing the research.

Since this requires a manual effort to research and verify the claim of winning there is a small service fee for the same. Currently we offer full refund incase the certificate is not issued because the information was false or non verifiable.

Until now companies hire people based on the educational qualifications, previous work experience & employee referrals, some companies also provide internships and then full time roles but even to get internship then need qualifications.

So school drop outs, refugees, college dropouts who don't have any certifications don't have an option of showcasing their skills, this is where we come into picture, if they won an innovation challenge or competition that means they have great skillset to solve real world challenge, so we will verify their claim and issue verifiable certificate which they can produce before an employer or institution and get hired based on their problem solving ability demonstrated in these innovation challenges.

The technology uses a Wordpress site to list various innovation opportunities, using APIs this is pushed to various social media channels, android app and IOS app.

For issuing the verifiable certification we use QR code verifiable certificates hosted in the cloud, at some point we would want to start issuing them in Blockchain using BlockCert.

1. Accredify creates certified true copies of your digital documents by making them tamper-proof and easily verifiable.

2. Give my certificate is a platform for organizations to generate and send verifiable documents, which the recipient or any intending third party can verify on the platform itself, that too in just a few clicks.

3. Blockcerts is an open standard for building apps that issue and verify blockchain-based official records. These may include certificates for civic records, academic credentials, professional licenses, workforce development, and more.

No direct risk is identified, people could submit false proof for verification of false claims, this is taken care as we ensure that we do the background check by contacting organizers of various innovation competitions before issuing verified certificates.

Our primary platform serves approximately 1,82,500 users on a yearly basis, if we assume atleast 5% conversion of these users who opt our paid award verification services then it comes to 9125 users annually.

Paid users will bring us the revenue using which we can scale our primary operation that is innovation listing, that is making innovation opportunities accessible to all, this impact will be 10 Million users in 5 years.

Over the 5 years we plan to serve 1,00,000 users that is for our paid award verification services.
