Rise Together Foundation
Through our asset allocation, fundraising, sponsors, and other revenue-generating streams; we will directly fund new and existing global majority-owned businesses in these gentrifying areas.
With the launch of these entities we will ensure that wealth continues to build in these areas through the following directives:
Any business our foundation launches will have allocated a minimum of 25% of their equity to be directed to their employees.
The employees need to be representative of the community they operate in. As well as hire a majority of local candidates.
25% of NET REVENUE will be donated to the regions Direct Community Investment Fund *
DCIF - Our DCIF's will directly re-invest back into the community in various forms to replenish the public good that has been extracted from these communities
Inequity...It's pretty big, you may have heard of it.
We are going to create a labor movement that will fund direct reparations. We have two types of programs:
- Codename: These build equity directly in these communtities
- DCIF: These address the systems of inequity that typically extract any equity built
Everyone. This will in essence lift up our most vulnerable populaces into the shrinking middle class, funnel money into transitional housing, housing, healthcare, healthy farm pipelines, environmental justice.
We have been struggling against this for 400 years and longer because Government would never address this all at once, and the private market views it as not profitable.
However, it will add trillions of dollars to our economic production and value through network effects.
- Reduce inequalities in the digital workforce for historically underserved groups through improved hiring and retention practices, skills assessments, training, and employer education and engagement
Digital work is a crucial tenant of how we operate. It will also be a crucial tenant of the programs and entities we spin out. Mainly because Digital Work, is grossly MORE equitable if done right than any in-person structure especially for our most vulnerable communities.
- I am planning to expand my solution to one or more of these ServiceNow locations
The capitalized colonized framework is not solely a function of the U.S through our local representation and local governance boards we can fill the gaps of equity around the world. Its a matter of people and money.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
Just as being introspective is being important to a HUMAN it is important to a HUMAN organization. As we bring in new minds and think about the various ways to decolonize and create equity, we view ourselves as the prototype, the blueprint for the future.
- Yes, I wish to apply for this prize
While I am technically 'the founder' our community is Majority HUMANs of Color. As well as predominately Women of Color. This would go directly into launching our first equity center in a gentrifying community.
- A new business model or process that relies on technology to be successful
Solving for systemic racism and oppressive institutions is a multifaceted project. We are taking aim at driving equity of marginalized communities by directly eliminating the capitalistic barriers to entry. As well as constantly supporting the entity for the life of the business. We are allocating employee equity to actually give the community a stake in the success of these enterprises, as well as funding our Direct Community Investment Funds. As our conglomerate of businesses expands and grows our ability to replenish the public good that has been extracted increases.
We are also designing these entities with systemic changes built in. Partnering with local vendors to ensure that any new entity we launch will follow a value statement that ensures: net neutral environmental impact, accessibility and equitability.
Ensuring that the change we make lasts we will be implementing an Open Book Management framework that will provide absolute transparency internally, as well as for all of our partner businesses as we are providing the back-end accounting functions for our partner businesses.
As our program grows, we plan on tackling systemic issues in education through an APP program that markets and attracts tourism to our partner businesses. The BIPOC Freedom Trail will highlight our local-global majority-owned businesses and will simultaneously educate tourists on the actual history of these areas while driving out-of-state dollars to places that have been historically underserved by tourism.
We will also be building an analytics and reporting tool that will help prove our hypothesis that this socialized and continued support of our businesses, as well as the DCIF, will have tangible effects on the disparity in BIPOC wealth.

Our official launch is Labor Day. We have projected that we will launch 10 businesses per region in year one. So as currently constituted we will launch 50 business in year one Nationally.
Using the average employee count of a small business of 10 people, that is a project 500 jobs.
As well as 5 Million invested in our DCIF by end of year one...per region. (25 Million total)
We know that direct investment into the most marginalized communities has almost 4x the impact of that investment in these communities. On top of that, we plan on having 20 internal roles as we expand.
By year five we will be International, tackling the effects of colonization in a similar function. We project our DCIF's to grow exponentially as more businesses are spun out. Expecting a year five goal of 500 million.
With our constant access to interns and consultants, we expect the failure rate to be drastically lower than the current failure rate.
The rate at which we can positively affect our communities will be almost incalculable. It would be in the 100s of millions.
We plan on creating a self-sustaining ecosystem for all of our communities that ensures that equity and sustainability are paramount. As we launch more and more entities our ability to support our partner businesses through other launched vendors as well as economics of scale of a national organization. We can DRASTICALLY increase wealth in these communities.
The business count and DCIF values will be a direct indicator of program success. As these grow we will address the localized needs of those communities.

We are building a completely HUMAN organization. One that is decentralized and non-hierarchal. That looks to build a new type of organization that is HUMAN-centric, not profit-centric. One that will create network effects of equity.
Once funded we plan on radically reimagine what it means to be an entity. In essence, we are looking to socialize anything that would prohibit someone from participating in our organization equitably. Similarly, when we start funding Global Majority Small businesses in gentrifying communities we can structure the employee-owned 'community' S-corps and replicate the internal processes where appropriate. Including things like:
- Paying Upfront at the 1st of the month
- Equal Base Pay at every ' level'
- ADjustable Bonus using historical oppression as a contributing factor
- Majority GM
- At home office stipend
- Socialized Utilities
We do not abide by the stereotypical hierarchal framework. We have open work policies that allow for our members to participate with what bandwidth they have. Ensuring that we have complete intersectionality and diversity of thought is paramount for the change we seek. We cannot drive equity externally if we are not driving it internally.
- Organizations (B2B)
We believe that we can fundamentally shift our economies starting in our most vulnerable communities.
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Legal or Regulatory Matters
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
It will take a community and a coalition to do this. It will take us all.
Any mission-aligned entity.
