Rebuilding the world sewage
We will generate electricity and water for agriculture and fertilizers from sewage that is thrown in the sea.
Our team wants to solve coastal communities by decreasing amount of CO2 gas that is absorbed by ocean and seas and by decreasing the pollution of coastal communities and decreasing the acidification of the seawater and thus providing a better environment for the marine life and providing healthcare for the coastal environment. All these problems affect the ecosystem. Our solution will solve all of that we will generate electricity from 2 sources and will save the water by making a new source of water for agriculture we also found two sources of fertilizers that we can get it from to help in planting. Also, we will make biodiesel from oil in the sewage to operate the cars.
We will work on sewage that is thrown up in the sea and oceans that lead to increasing the acidity of the seawater. We found that we can separate urine from human wastes in the sewage we are able to generate electricity from each (urine _ human wastes) we work on human wastes by fermentation and putting anode and cathode rode and feeding the Bactria by putting catalyst like sugar we will get a good amount of electricity as an output. about working on urine. It works on the main principle of Electrolysis.
Urine’s major constituent is urea, which incorporates four hydrogen atoms per molecule –importantly, less tightly bonded than the hydrogen atoms in water molecules. botte used electrolysis to break the molecule apart, developing an inexpensive new nickel-based electrode to selectively and efficiently oxidize the urea. To break the molecule down, a voltage of 0.37V needs to be applied across the cell – much less than the 1.23V needed to split water.
‘During the electrochemical process the urea gets adsorbed on to the nickel electrode surface, which passes the electrons needed to break up the molecule,’ Botte told Chemistry World. Pure hydrogen is evolved at the cathode, while nitrogen plus a trace of oxygen and hydrogen were collected at the anode. While carbon dioxide is generated during the reaction, none is found in the collected gasses as it reacts with the potassium hydroxide in the solution to form potassium carbonate(fertilizer) we will extract good amount of hydrogen to operate a generator with it to produce electricity and We will separate oil from sewage to make biodiesel fuel. We also will treat the rest of water from sewage to help in agriculture and save the amount of water that used in planting (as a small summary we are able to save water and found 2 new sources for electricity and source for fertilizer and source for biodiesel fuel. All of that will decrease the acidity of the sea and save marine’s life and it decreases the amount of CO2 that emits from nonrenewable sources that we depend on it until now and we will save the ozone layer and decrease global warming)

- Restoring and preserving coastal ecosystems
This idea isn’t a new technology, the mechanism of each part of the prototype is already in use separately. And we have used new techniques and mechanics to generate electricity. but putting them all together in an application that will help providing a water treatment station, agricultural fertilizers, and electricity for the people, and also will be used in decreasing the pollution effect of the coastal communities and marine life, is a new application that hasn’t been out and full functioning in the world yet.
In our project, we used different technologies like:
- The electrolytic cell with the urine to split the urea into hydrogen and oxygen atoms and then captures the hydrogen to produce energy. The nitrogen can be used for artificial fertilizers.
- The heat controller to provide an appropriate environment for the bacteria to live, we also used a thermostat to give the bacteria a specific range of heat to work if the heat increased, the process will stop.
- Arduino with a temperature sensor that if the temperature increases it starts cooling and when decreases it starts heating.
After 12 months our project will have many effects. you will see the difference in the coastal area. the project has a big effect on the pure fiction of the water of the sea because it uses the urine to produce energy so no sewage will be dropped in the sea. The water of the sea will be clean and we can purification the sewage to make its water able to use in agriculture. So, this town after 12 months will have energy, pollution, and acidity of the water will decrease and sewage water will be used for agriculture.
We think that our project will be so successful in the following years because of course there would be many changes that increase the efficiency as there is a direct relation between the people and the efficiency of our project as by increasing people that would increase the rate of the sewage that leads to high rate of energy so, increasing number of people is a very good point for our project to produce high results and we think that only one station in every group of cities will be enough to produce a high rate of energy.

Also, we can give them our project for a trial period so, they can notice the difference clearly and how can our project generate electricity, reduce the consumption of the local energy and saving money spent in generating electricity so customers will be sure that our project has a high efficiency and very useful.
Nearly 3 billion people depend on coastal and marine resources for most life demands. However, coastal regions are exploited as a dumping ground for unneeded wastes, what really but these people in the danger area. This is what our sewage system tend to solve. This sewage system provides renewable energy sources, what reduces the amount of CO2 in the air and coasts, what reduces the acidification level of sea water. So, we reduce the pollution of water and air, reduce the danger on Sea creatures and increase the country's economy according to increase tourists number
Our project is expected to serve all the population in the targeted areas. After applying the attempts, recognizable differences will be touchable. After 12 months, reduction in the untreated water, generating electricity and depend on it for household purposes and producing agricultural fertilizers. Also, we have expected problems throughout the upcoming years whether technical or social. After 3 years, more success is expected, such as lowering environmental pollution in coastal areas, generating electricity from a new renewable resource as that, growth in the agricultural field. All of these will affect the rise of the economy in the coastal communities.

Maybe some of them are: That our project depends on the efficiency of electrodes so we need high current intensity and the electrodes should be covered with pure nickel for being a catalyst that was a little hard to find! The other barrier was that we needed enough amount and pressure of hydrogen to make the generator be able to work and if not, we’ll be forced to use the Hydrogen Cell that will cost us a lot. So, all we need right now is SOLVE support to reach our little dream and find an organization that will help us.
