Patient First.AI

We started with the project at the peak of pandemic last year to make a difference. And in a short span of 9 months have been able to move from an idea to an actual product that is currently successfully implemented in 10 clinics so far. We will: 

1- Expand out technical development. The funding will enable us to develop our patient side of the platform. In addition,  use it to integrate AI and ML and automated algorithms that will enable us to predict health patterns to help the physicians to provide quality patient care by understanding patient’s health trends.

2- Expand to acquire Physicians: We are currently in 10 clinics. And our goal is to acquire 1000 clinics in the next 12 months. In order to expand, we will be hiring 50 account managers, and 30 sales and marketing champions who will help us create partnerships and reach our goal. 

3- Product: We require the funds as we make the initial investment for the physician to buy the essential material from us that our paid over time. 

 In addition, receiving mentorship from experts will enable us to expand our solution sustainably while improving utilization uptake of our beneficiaries.

In 2018, my grandmother was hospitalized with symptoms of heart disease. The physicians had lost all her previous medical records and spent the next 3 weeks re-running her tests. Late diagnosis and irregular monitoring of her health cost her valuable time and she unfortunately passed away. 

This motivated me to understand healthcare ecosystem of my native country, Pakistan more closely. With my biomedical engineering background and experience as a consultant for building strategies for US healthcare systems, I was able to swiftly understand the fragmented healthcare ecosystem. I interviewed 200+ physicians and patients and concluded that 99% of the medical data of patients was recorded manually which resulted in patient's time, money and lives being lost. 

Inspired by my grandmother’s harrowing experience, and seeking to make a positive impact, I founded Patient First.AI. My vision is a world where millions of people like my grandmother will be provided with an early diagnosis and regular monitoring of their health as their medical data will be at their fingertips and their lives will be saved. Our goal is to improve the quality of patient care and save millions of lives by putting the Patients First.

Globally, 72% of medical data is recorded manually. The result is 15M chronic disease patients lose their life every year due to late diagnosis and irregular monitoring in low resourced countries. One of these low resourced countries is Pakistan; where 99% of medical data is recorded manually. Currently, when a patient feels unwell, they are unable to find a reliable physician, have to wait an average of 2 hours before seeing the physician and then their paper-based medical data is easily lost and never updated. The result is a compromised patient care. Hence, A country like Pakistan where the physician to patient ratio is 1:1300, the need for digital and connected medical data is acute. 

Patient First.AI a digital health connectivity platform is built on the blueprint of improving the quality of patient care and saving millions of lives. It is a cloud based platform, 4 way platform for the patient, physician, pharmacy and diagnostic lab. It is HIPPA and ICD-10 compliant which gives the physicians the access to record all the patient history easily on our platform and immediately be accessible to the patient, pharmacy and labs. 

• Our unique advantage lies in the fact that Patient First's machine-learning based platform that digitizes and systematically sorts physicians medical information and prescriptions. This includes a tablet, printers and other value-added services to help physicians automatically store patient data onto a centralized a virtual health card.  We are building Pakistan’s first centralized App for more than 80% of doctors in Pakistan who still work on paper.

• The only platform that provides an end to end experience compared to our competitors such as Marham, Ola Doc or Healthwire. That are focused on part of the ecosystem such as a booking appointment with the physician platform or a telemedicine platform. 

• Now the patient not only has access but also the ability to share their medical data with physicians and no matter where the patient goes they will have their story carry forward in a meaningful way. 

In phase 1, we have successfully completed our physician platform pilot and have over 5000+ patient data. We have acquired physicians through medical students which has helped to build partnership with private clinics and also give them an opportunity to make the process quicker and more efficient to onboard physician on our platform. 

Along with that we have formed partnership with pharmacy i.e sehat pharmacy and chugtai lab to allow for integration of our phase 3 and phase 4. This will allow for the patient to have all their information immediately available.
