Concerned Generation Network
- Sierra Leone
It has always been a great dream to participate in the elevate prize. As I envision seeing fairer societies engrained in development, my team will work to advance access to safe water by establishing multi-purpose water stations in peri-urban and rural areas. This means we will use the price to establish 12 water stations across 12 districts in Sierra Leone and extend our services of selling simple ceramic water purification equipment in two different countries. we will be able to impact 500,000 people in sierra Leone raising more than more than $ 500,000 in the first year and using 25% of the profit to provide water facilities at homes and community centers in rural communities with low income to ensure we create equal access of water to all.
This award will mean a winning in an environment where no child will have to rise as early as 4:00am in search of water. where no woman will have to walk 6Km on average to collect safe drinking water. it will be a period to enhance fairer societies for women and create a livelihood support for women through network marketing of water projects
I hail from a community where my mother and I would have to wake as early as 5:00am to collect water from the surface of a forest for drinking. This meant if we woke after 6:00am, we couldn't get water for the day. we lived on contaminated water that led to the death of my father and younger brother. This did not just happen to me but happened to several women and children in deprived communities as a result of water related diseases. This and several other things led us to form Concerned Generation Network to alleviate all forms of suffering of people using innovations. This drive urged the D-30 water technology We envision positively empowered communities with Access to Equal Opportunities and Development that saves lives whilst creating access to safe water under a network business model.
We are a hybrid company that produces low cost water technology targeting more than 20,000 people every week to solve the problem of unsafe drinking water in deprived communities. We create and innovate purification hand pumps and filters for all forms of contaminated water to enhance healthy living, livelihoods and development. We operate the business through an established water filtration units and kiosks in communities led by women to create access to safe water. Through this initiative, women are able to engage in economic activities through self-run filtration units. 25% of our revenue is used to provide ceramic filtration hand pumps and filters to unreached communities to create equal access to water to everyone irrespective of their income status. This business when scaled up seeks to help women and communities to run their own water filtration units which earn them income and access to safe drinking water that is cheaper than bottled water.
We are the only locally produced hand pump and ceramic water filter production company that trap nanoparticles through a network market system with a business model that engages and converts customers into community sales agents to create a recurring revenue structure to homes and businesses through commissions and self-run filtration units.
