CORE RESPONSE

We want to impact more communities around the world that hurt from COVID. Even though the United States is coming out of it a little faster, we need to do our part and support other countries.

The vision and purpose of CORE is to support communities or survivors of constant crises and our goal is to strengthen them so that they can be stronger to withstand them in the future. We work with them and in support of them.

Right now with the COVID crisis, communities are being hit from every angle: poverty, racism, as well as COVID. We want to support them in every point. We don't think there is a one solution answer to everything, but we want to provide a number of services to them: vaccines, testing, and wrap around services as well.

CORE works through communities. We hire locally, we listen to them, we find solutions to work with them. We don't work top down - we are a grassroots organization and that is the approach we take.

Our organization is innovative and don't get stuck on any one thing to do. We don't assume we have the solution, but it is about iterating and finding what works best in any given situation and also taking risks. A lot of organizations get very scared to take that first step and we are not like that.

CORE's strength is leveraging the existing strength of the communities that we serve. We are not stepping in with a lot of resources and fire power from the outside, but instead we are capturing what is already on the ground and taking it to scale.
