1. Hire highly skilled human capital
2. Increase strategic corporate partnerships
3. Software and hardware development of the existing product
4. Customer service
Vision: To be the leading global distributor of secure wifi hotspot fintech products and services within emerging markets.
Mission: To provide products and services required by the middle and lower tiers of the world’s economic pyramid. We focus on diversifying the range of products and services we offer, while expanding our distribution footprint through organic and acquisitive growth.
PROBLEM:COVID-19 has spurred massive changes in how the world works, learns and does business—changes made possible by the internet and digital infrastructure. But without power, there is no internet. The power-internet gap in sub-Saharan Africa & developing regions will only get wider in an increasingly digital post-COVID world, if current internet-energy system challenges remain unaddressed.
SOLUTION:SOLAR-FI™ is a “Business-in-a-Light,” for businesses that have connectivity issues, we offer simple & inexpensive solar mobile wifi hotspot access points that provide free lighting, prepaid internet access & prepaid virtual products and services to customers.
SOLAR-FI™, is an internet dongle and solar lamp to access the internet and have light.
By combining technical innovation with entrepreneurial flair to bring products and services associated with the developed world directly to the doorsteps of people who may be geographically and economically isolated from the mainstream. By doing so, we are able to create jobs, support the growth of small businesses, include the unbanked and underbanked into financial society, and help bridge the digital divide.
Our “Business-in-a-Light” concept is our patented LanternRouter device which frees up your till points by offering free lighting (and charging), prepaid internet, prepaid virtual merchant aggregated products & services and an extra point of sale device within a retail environment.
With our patented technology, our company will derive strength from an extensive device distribution network and our commitment to long-term partnerships.
Our SOLAR-FI™ access points allow ISP’s, mobile networks, utilities, banks (fiat and cryptocurrency banks), MTO’s, retailers, informal retail/spaza shops, colleges/universities, insurance & financial services and mPOS devices to access the advantages of a digital economy.
Our “Business-in-a-Light” model encourages the individual entrepreneur within any community to start his or her own business selling our merchant aggregated products and services, and we are proud of the way that this encourages economic development, especially in peri-urban, rural and disadvantaged communities.
We use online distribution via our proprietary SOLAR-FI™ LanternRouters to sell virtual products & services. Our support teams will visit peri-urban/rural areas and build relationships with merchants. They provide back up, advice and training. This business model proves to be sustainable in both the formal and informal sectors.
Our strength lies in the ever-growing global footprint of touchpoints for virtual and physical distribution channels in these markets.
• Our business was founded by entrepreneurial thinkers and commercial implementers;
• We are focused on the high-volume, low-margin, distribution and sale of prepaid internet access and prepaid products and services.
• We will leverage favourable working capital management
• Our typical market is in emerging and developing economies, with an emphasis on the world’s unbanked and underbanked consumer
• We enable access to prepaid internet and prepaid products & services that were previously out of reach for lower LSM groups
• Strong barriers to entry for competitors include entrenched relationships, vendor lock-up through systems integration, and the ubiquity of our POS and our proprietary technologies
• We will have long-term contracts with mobile network operators
• We will have long-term relationships with participants across distribution channels
• Our proprietary technology is developed and maintained in-house
• We will monetize by increasing our distribution footprint and offering additional value added services
• We envision processing over 5 billion transactions per annum
• We have a robust CSI programme
• We have a creative, youthful and talented management team
