I am Chaz Carmon President of Ice The Beef please Google my name. At Ice The Beef we fight to teach kids, teens and young adults that their decisions truly matter, that they can make a choice to not pick up a gun. We teach youth conflict resolution, anger management and positive decision making in all our programs. We create Marches, rallies and vigils that bring awareness to Inner city gun violence. We work with teens on probation, teens in juvenile detention centers who are in need of positive mentors to help get them back on track. We stand to bring back morality, love, healing and the village mentality that we are one family and we need to support each other because it takes a village to raise a child. Please Google read our over 400 articles and news stories.
In inner cities across America families are living in poverty with no hope. This brings drugs, gun violence and domestic violence in these neighborhoods. Ice The Beef works with youth and families in these neighborhoods to help teach the younger generation that their voice and decisions matter and through positive choices they can change the world. Each week we have programs for teens, we feed families, we street outreach with hardcore youth. We do it all out of pocket with no support. All staff are volunteer we do this work because it is the right thing to do. We have saved 100s of teens and helped 1000s of families. We have weekly meeting with parents who have losses loved ones to him violence. The articles speak volumes please Google Ice The Beef and Chaz Carmon to research us.
Our work is innovative because we focus on how do we change the mindset of teenagers, they inherit the world and we must teach them how to make positive decisions when they encounter individuals who have weapons or can get waepons. They can choose to say no but they need support. We use the Arts in our Education and Stage Art Program, we use politic and law on our Youth and Government Program. We have a Men's and Women's Programs, we have a Basketball League where 180 teens play for free every year. We have Up Lifting Youth Voices where youth create events and are taught how to be Community Organizers. We have camps and an Entrepreneur and Business Program, Civics classes and a new creation of fathering classes. Through all our programs we teach positive decision making strategies, anger management, drop out prevention, gun violence prevention, morals and Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices.
It's time to put the guns down to save lives these are the impacts we are having changing minds that we don't have to lil each other. Love is the key. Teaching youth that there is always a choice when it comes to guns, drugs, domestic violence and dropping out of school, but it needs to fostered and supported by people who care. We have saved hundreds of children and helped 1000s of families please Google us.
