MorBi+
- Pre-Seed
We provide the the highest quality and the most nutritious food by utilising abundant indigenous food products as well as provide rural woman with jobs to drive economic growth, women’s empowerment and sustainable agricultural development. Our mission is to improve nutrition status and livehoods through the power of moringa.
MorBi+ provide the highest quality and the most nutritious Moringa-based product. Moringa oleifera leaf to be processed with effective and efficient technology in order to overcoming nutrient deficiency and malnutrition in community-based poor under the age of five while support women farmers in rural area.
Nutritional and health status are two of three important factors which determine the quality of human resources, apart from education and income (Azwar, 2004). Malnutrition in under five years old causes permanent growth retardation and increases the risk of infectious diseases (Soegeng, 2004. In the case of Indonesia, RISKESDAS stated that the prevalence of under five years old children suffering from nutritional deficiency was 13% (2,947,368) and malnutrition was 4.9% (906,882) in 2010. Undoubtedly, Indonesia is ranked the fifth in the world as a country with the largest number of faulty growth children under the age of five (7.7 millions) according to United Nation
Morbi+ sees the opportunity to help Indonesian exiting both nutritional and poverty issue by establishing participatory community based business. Moringa oleifera, a plant from Brassicales order growing wild in tropical countries, is known to be highly nutritious as it contains wide ranges of macro and micronutrients proven by many scientists.
We are focusing on two different segment market, both rural area to alleviate nutrient deficiency and urban area for healthy life style purposes. In rural area, MorBi+ served as affordable and Ready-to-Use Foods (RUFs) made from Moringa oleifera leaves powder better suited to meet nutritional needs for malnourished children under age of five while in urban, MorBi+ make it easy for people to get their greens on the go while helping to plant moringa trees and support women farmers in the developing world. We hope that a new generation will imagine a world without malnutrition.
To provide a sustainable solution in exiting both nutritional and poverty issue in Indonesia and others developing countries when its scaled-up by practicing community-based business through rural woman empowerment by providing job in pre-production, processing, and post-production which further impacting their income level.
I've started this project since 2013 by doing social alignment, in-depth interview with more than 300 rural woman, gained a first-hand understanding of the common nutritional challenges faced in Indonesia and how moringa can play a role in helping to address those challenges - Over 70% of people living in urban say that incorporating more vegetables into their diet is their first priority. Most of them find it difficult to get their greens at meals. MorBi+ is giving them the resources to access nutritional power of moringa, improving livelihoods and giving an impact for environmental protection by planting moringa tree.
Decreasing number of malnoursihed and hunger especially in Asia and Pasific region as it the highest, empowering rural woman as many as possible by providing them job that impacted their income, and preserving environmental protection by planting a thousands of moringa tree. We creating a world where everybody has an access to nutritional power of moringa.

We were able to develop a systematic breeding and cultivar development strategy. We are provides growers the highest yielding, most uniform and profitable Moringa Oleifera, improved seeds result in greater yield, uniformity and vigor while significantly reducing Plantation costs for growers. We also provide training to the rural woman and farmer on how to best grow moringa and use it to improve nutrition locally.
Moringa oleifera is an essential plant in meeting Global food security and sustain the livelihoods of many millions of people. Globally, about 870 million people do not have enough to eat, and more than two billion suffer from micronutrient deficiency. The Moringa tree is increasingly considered as one of the world’s most valuable natural resources. MorBi+ work with women-led farming cooperatives to drive economic growth, women's empowerment, and sustainable agriculture development.
MorBi+ uses price differentiation for direct selling and partnership marketing with “Posyandu” (Governmental Heath Clinic for Maternal and Children) across Indonesia. It applies profit share system among stakeholders in the attempt of making the business sustainable. Later, we will focusing on building online platform and selling our product widely.
