UMAXIMO is a powerful online personal tutor system based on artificial intelligence that allows you to customize and adapt teaching for everyone, including people with the most frequent disabilities. Its technology can be applied anywhere in the world that has an internet connection.
With UMAXIMO, teachers go from being exhibitors to mediators of student learning, promoting dynamic classrooms and experiential activities around content. An essential part of UMAXIMO is the pedagogical model that is integrated with the educational system. This consists of delegating the theoretical classroom to technology and using classroom time in practical activities. UMAXIMO has a semi-automated digital marketing and sales process that allows well-directed advertising campaigns with permanent follow-up. This has allowed us to grow in sales around 250% to 300% annually. So we also have a support team that provides agile support to the requirements or queries of teachers.
For the final sale process and in-person support, we will have local partners: companies in the area with which a distribution contract is agreed. So they will execute specific tasks that they have carried out in each country and also will disseminate the service with their current client portfolio.
We currently serve 43 educational institutions in Chile and 2 institutions in Panama. In total, it implies that we are impacting more than 13,500 students in two countries. These institutions are public and private, of urban and rural sites, of primary and secondary schools, and of higher technical education. The students use UMAXIMO weekly with their teachers in the subject of mathematics or in leveling programs.
We hope to impact more than 100,000 students from 7 countries. We will establish the opening of the platform for another 5 countries and we will look for local distributors.
UMAXIMO implies a change of paradigm also for the students. Because using is associated with a development of student autonomy, which in general, expect to receive everything.
We have demostrated to achieve this capacity in 1 to 2 years, therefore, the students have develop the skills of the 21st century. This was achieved because the professors maintained the focus on the promotion of innovation, creativity, critical thinking, social learning, among others.

We are engineers with great passion and experience in education. In addition, we have been working together for 8 years in education with excellent results.
We are a business-to-business company with a rate structure that depends on the number of students benefited in the educational institution. The business model allows for a very scalable cost-revenue structure. Among the most important costs are human resources, marketing and servers.
Because we are in a stage that we need showcase. We have done an arduous job but now it needs to be shown to the public and to enter into networks that allow us to scale. And we believe that with Solve we can achieve it.
The main barrier is the teachers' willingness to change the teaching practices they have been doing for years, which implies training and accompaniment. In some cases there is a rapid adaptation, in others, there is opposition and negativism.
