Orphan Care

I'm applying for the Elevate Prize because I need to improve the lives of the orphaned, the disabled, most disadvantaged refugees, and abandoned children in Juba, South Sudan, and provide them with safe, caring, and loving environments.

We will build caring centers, schools in both kindergartens, Primary, Secondary, and college for those who can advance to colleges among these groups of people. The most financially disadvantaged kids and families will now have access to caring homes, financial help, quality education and forever change society.

Coming from low-income family background and trekking from zero to a master's degree at Makerere University, it has always been my pleasure to get impoverished families on the right track and help underprivileged children achieve their dreams. 

The effects of the lasted series of wars and the challenges of HIV/AIDS remain the leading problems faced by the people of South Sudan. Many children here lack access to education, shelter, and food, which further adds to other internal family problems such as land shortage and alarming financial constraints. 

This has subsequently compelled me to propose that we must enact such a project to uplift the conditions of orphans and vulnerable children within Jonglei, Juba, states.

It’s, therefore, my compassionate request that the frivolity of this project’s background finds you with wavering and kind heed of intervention.

We are voraciously exerting many efforts to eradicate illiteracy, street children, orphaned, disabled, which has been sparked by limited Access to education amongst the Jonglei communities, specifically amongst Orphans, street children, and academically sound children who lack access to education services.

South Sudan is believed to have the worst literacy rate globally, worse than Mali and Niger, which were the only ones close. The level of illiteracy is as large as 16.5%, which is relatively close to the recent research conducted in 2017 by the Ministry of Gender, Labor and Economic Development, which found that poverty Contributes to 16.78% of the factors leading to slow economic growth and development. This, however, scales to 2.75% (rough estimate) of the global level of illiteracy. 

According to the recent research conducted by the Department of Education planners in Juba, Equatoria State, it has been found out that Over 70% of the total population are illiterates. In comparison, children Contribute 47% of the statistic. However, this leaves a pittance number of the population with the considerate potential of inducing Positive changes in the community.

ORPHAN CARE does provide the privilege of free education to all categories of neediest (disables, orphans, and street children). 

As other organizations blur their doctrines in admitting the beneficiaries without taking the deductive preambles in ascertaining their authentication, i.e., Whether they fit the organization’s doctrines or not, ORPHAN CARE, therefore, strives for excellence in executing our bounden duties as dictated under our project's mission specification. We, therefore, take in a little elevated effort in selecting our beneficiaries, as other organizations receive bribes from those who don’t meet the standard.

Of their terms and conditions to be inoculated amongst the beneficiaries, ORPHAN CARE seeks to promote transparency and compassionately heed to its doctrines, as we amicably undertake the necessary steps to understand the whole background of each of our beneficiaries.

Human life can only be valuable when it’s attached to some positive ingredients which can not accomplish gaunt one’s life goals and objectives to fruition. Such ingredients can be ‘acquired knowledge: which is only possible through education, among other life ingredients which can be abstractly referred to as ‘additional life values’

We are therefore concentrated in doing the following for the individuals within our cluster of operation;

Community-based homes are being established to accommodate the orphans, bastardized street children, and destitute children who can’t afford to run their individual lives.

Friendly matches are being organized, especially in inexorable areas, to spot out those naturally talented children. 

We are also offering sensitization to the communities about the danger of incarcerated criminal behaviors alongside domestic violence, which are currently the root cause of the increasing number of street kids, widows, and orphans. All the above tests and measures have always worked to our satisfaction and have helped us obtain the affected children's concurring statistics within our areas of interest. Thus the effectiveness of our chronological steps in achieving plans of our organization is deemed visible.
