We wish to use the prize funding to purchase equipment and expand our plastic wastes recycling project

I'm Mohammed Kabir, CEO of Senghor Engineers and Merchants Plc. I'm a civil engineer with seven years experience.

I wish to solve one global challenge which is the problem of waste plastics. My aim is to turn these wastes into products like plastic asphalt, plastic blocks, plastic roofing sheets, plastic tiles, plastic bracelets etc thereby creating more income and employment opportunities for residents who will be willing to exchange their plastic wastes for cash. This will also help prevent climate change.

The major goal of this Recycling Project is to
*Maximize the use of post consumer plastic wastes and produce alternative ecofriendly biulding construction products.
* Reduce plastic wastes in our environment
* Create employment for the unemployed youth
* Make the environment clean and serene to prevent any epidemic
* Reduce cost of constructing roads, houses, hospitals, public toilets in the public schools

Senghor Engineers and Merchants Plc is an engineering company located in Kaduna Nigeria,we are into engineering constructions but seeing the problem of plastic wastes in the community,we decided to carry out a research on it and came up with this recycling solution.

Poor sanitation, which is widely accepted as a chief contributor to waterborne diseases, is the cause of more than 1,200 deaths of children under ten-years-old per day, more than AIDS, measles, and tuberculosis combined.
We wish to construct houses, hospitals, unirals on the major highways and toilets in public schools with recycled plastics to reduce costs and prevent diseases as human waste flows into surface waters and fields where children play and people of all ages live, eat, drink and bathe.

Our approach is to pick plastic wastes from landfills, drainages and rivers or buy it from residents and then recycle these plastics wastes into plastic asphalt for construction of roads, plastic blocks, tiles and roofing sheets for buildings

In order to have a smooth running of the project after its implementation, routine maintenance will be used as a tool to ensure that all facilities are in good condition to ensure they function as expected.
Monitoring of the processes from the collection of plastic wastes to the recycling will be carried out to ensure a smooth process.
This project will be achieved by the teamwork of able and competent personnel which comprises of two civil engineers, an electrical engineer, a mechanical engineer, an architect, a nurse, two pharmacists and a statistician. These are professionals with proven records in their fields of endeavors
