 For the past 9 years, we have been working to help the people of this country, Kenya acquire the most basic knowledge about computer. This work has only been accomplished with the help of amazing supporters. I believe winning The Elevate Prize would allow AIE to reach even more vulnerable people through invaluable connections with other mentorship opportunities, board recruitment, change-makers and revenue support. 

It is my experience since I was born, raised and living in Kenya, I want to see my country continue to grow up and take its place in the world.

I am the founder and Executive Director of the Arcsoft Itec Enterprises. We are based on training; computer applications, networking, computer hardware repair, computer software installation services.

 Thousands of youths at-risk and young adults in Kenya have never used a computer. Computer training is typically available at commercial institutions / schools, at a price that is beyond their reach. They do not have free access to computers or computer training. Through our training, youths become better qualified and are able to obtain jobs that they were previously unqualified for. This project helps bridge the Digital Divide and levels the playing field.

Our main work is to offer free computer training to youths who can not afford to further their education. This project is helping to change this by providing basic computer training to children and youths in Kenya. This essential training is in great demand, providing a much-needed foundation and equipping them for future success.

This project provides a learning environment with access to computer equipment, office applications and the Internet. Youths and young adults gain the needed computer skills for success. They are now able to secure better jobs. This training is in high demand and very relevant. Naturally, being able to use a computer will put youths at a distinct advantage when they apply for jobs. We can be able to train up to 300 youths every three months. In a year we can train up to 1,000 youths. All these need money to pay electricity power, training room, water bills, stationaries, tutors and many more.

We are innovative because this project provides a learning environment with access to computer equipment, office applications and the Internet. Youths and young adults gain the needed computer skills for success. They are now able to secure better jobs. This training is in high demand and very relevant. Naturally, being able to use a computer will put youths at a distinct advantage when they apply for jobs and We can also train up to 300 youths after every three months. 

We believe that technology has become a necessity for education because it creates a better learning environment. Computers allow easy communication and access to educational resources. Our work aims to improve outcomes for youths by providing them with technology and training.
