Lipa Land app
A personalized app that helps kids around the world learn skills for life with both digital and real-world educational content.
In today’s world, many games for kids on smart devices attract with their flashy rewards and crazy characters. But few of these games are both exciting and educational, which leaves a huge gap in the true potential of smart devices around the world. Devices like tablets can act as a gateway to learning and can be placed in the hands of eager children who are still waiting on schools to be built or teachers to be trained. We at Lipa asked ourselves: what if a single app could make a difference in children’s education globally?
That's where Lipa Land comes in. Lipa Land offers fun, valuable content for kids as well as parents and teachers, with dozens of learning apps, stories, articles, and hundreds of activities that are all based on our unique Curriculum. Whether kids are using the app by themselves or guided by an adult, they are actively gaining skills in areas like social-emotional balance, history and culture, academics, physical wellness, and environmental awareness, just to name a few. Every digital game in Lipa Land has been localized into 26 languages thus far, so that no matter where a child lives, they can learn in their own language and get the most out of the content.
Lipa Land was created by passionate educators and parents who are dedicated to using technology as a gateway for education. Along with partners like Curious Learning who deliver tablets to children in need or in developing communities, we strive to spread education around the globe. But Lipa Land doesn’t just help children - it can act as a supplemental tool for teachers and educators in the classroom, giving them access to hundreds of topic-based activities, games, and expert tips about child development. Teachers will also be able to track individual children’s progress as they progress through Lipa Land and pin-point with which areas they need more guidance. Lipa Land is the perfect app for home and school.
- Educators fostering 21st century skills
- Supportive ecosystems for educators
Many children’s game developers exist in today’s world, and many of them strive to produce educational content. What makes Lipa Land different is that it’s not just a set of games that teach a child their ABCs - it’s an ecosystem of learning that helps children develop in 8 core areas. These areas were created by our team of educators who specialize in fields such as special needs, physical education, social-emotional education, and more. Lipa Land does what no single app has attempted before by providing children with a holistic educational journey that aids in early-years development.
Lipa's philosophy is “use the device to get out of the device” - we use technology to reach children everywhere while encouraging them to use learned skills in the real world. Along with 3o adaptive apps that adjust to children’s abilities, Lipa Land includes over 300 activities like crafts, puzzles, outdoor games, fun facts, and more that let children play hands-on. Lipa Land can be personalized to every child and includes progress tracking so parents or teachers can see which educational areas are being developed. A true all-in-one app, Lipa Land turns any smart device into an essential educational tool.
October, 2018: first wave Lipa Land release in select countries in English, Czech, Russian, and Spanish languages. Based on feedback we will refine the app.
December, 2018: Lipa Land will reach 20,000 downloads.
March, 2019: global launch of Lipa Land with the addition of French, Chinese, and Portuguese languages; global marketing campaign will increase downloads to 100,000.
Following months: actively integrating Lipa Land into 50 - 100 preschools worldwide, adding more content to the app, and increasing target downloads to 300,000 by July 2019.
Since we want to reach all kids everywhere, growth is essential to our vision. We’re working on having Lipa Land available on all major app stores, TV and IPTV platforms, in-flight entertainment systems, interactive touch tables, and pre-installed on robotic toys with screens. We’re also aspiring to build a network of 5000 preschools where we will integrate Lipa Land into the classroom. To reach less privileged children, we’re developing our NGO, the Association of Digital Literacy for Children, so we can donate tablets with Lipa Land to orphanages, schools, refugee camps, and to children in need of early years’ education.

We want to utilize as many platforms and avenues as possible to increase our reach. These will include app stores, IPTVs, pre-installation on devices (such as tablets), integration into preschools, donating Lipa Land to NPOs/NGOs, orphanages, and underprivileged communities, social media platforms, educational institutions and universities, mass media channels, and government institutions. Lipa Land is designed to retain customers by offering tracking and reports of children’s progress, personalized learning adventures with adaptive content, parental notifications and reminders of milestones, and the anticipation for new content being added monthly.
Though not launched yet, we have already developed 21 apps and interactive books that are available on the App Store and Google Play - thus far, these learning apps have reached 3.5 million downloads worldwide. We have also reached approximately 1 million families through different 3rd party app stores and IPTV platforms, and with the help of NPOs and other charitable organizations we’ve contributed Lipa apps to nearly 2000 underprivileged children in countries like India, South Africa, Nepal, and Myanmar. This organic base of trusted users will only continue to grow with the official release of Lipa Land.
Lipa Land is soft launched in Czech Republic currently and will be soft launched in Russia, Mexico and India in October 2018. Following the global launch as well in March, 2019, we are expecting to reach around 700,000 downloads by a strong following of families and schools around the world in the next 12 months. In the next 36 months we estimate to exceed 3 million users worldwide not only through app-stores/IPTV platforms but also through schools and other charitable activities.

Many expert teams come together to make Lipa Land possible. Our team of educational experts specialize in children’s early-years’ development inside and outside the classroom. During production, they specify every educational aspect of an app so that it’s appropriate and beneficial. We also have an exceptional localization team that has translated our content into 30 languages thus far, a hard-working development and design team, and a graphics team that knows how to bring our content to life with their colorful illustrations. Most of all, we’re dedicated parents and education enthusiasts who want to make a difference.
Lipa Land’s revenue model will be based on a monthly subscription, where users will receive another month’s content for each purchase. The subscription method enables users to go through the app at their own pace, while heightening anticipation for new content which will be constantly updating and expanding. We can also enable automatic subscription renewals to encourage users to purchase several months’ content at once.
Joining with Solve’s network would allow us to reach out to other experts in the industry and influencers who can review, promote, and endorse our products, including Lipa Land and our Lipa Curriculum. We are also seeking support and partnerships with suitable platforms such as app stores, device manufacturers, preschools, NGOs, and others that can help make Lipa Land accessible globally.
In order to reach children around the world, we need help in connecting to the right resources and institutions that would integrate Lipa Land into their communities. This includes connecting with preschools around the world, app publishers and distributors, as well as finding ways to increase user volume through localized brand-awareness campaigns.
