Great Achievers
- Kenya
the money shall be used in educating the youth about the predicament the political leadership in conjunction with the government have put us in. the rate of unemployment and lack of young people in leadership positions is wanting in Kenya. politicians and the government are pushing for a referendum that further puts the young peoples future in jeopardy by creating few political positions in the executive to accommodate the political rivals and to ensure no opposition or voice of dissent in the forth coming 2022 elections.
the money shall show the youth that they are pawns in the chess board, they are the goons for hire to perpetrate political violence to achieve the desires of the 70 plus year old's quest to clinch to power.
the rate of employment and drug abuse is in direct relation to every political cycle, politicians entice the youth by sponsoring drinking sprees for the youth rather than selling policy. they take huge loans only to squander and leave our future in the hands of the debtors as they live like royalty and us, there subjects depending on handouts delivered in burial meetings. the situation is dire and its only a matter of time.
we came up to rival a group for youth that was established to pursue the regimes agenda, the politics of manipulation, handouts and tokenism. we have tried to educate the youth that its not every time a politician calls a campaign meeting that we should attend for a small handout or free gifts, if they wont sell out policies or manifesto then we will be doomed for the next five years.
we are reaching out to our members to influence the youth not to take part in drumming up support for the referendum because its hell bend on frustrating the young man, members of county assembly have been enticed by a 2 million shilling car grant loan each totaling to 4.5 billion to endorse it in the county assemblies, members of parliament have been enticed by a 10 billion shilling c.d.f kitty.
this is in a country begging for 5 billion shillings from the i.m.f to purchase covid vacines but can afford 14 billion shillings to fund a referendum to accomodate some three characters in the government.
the youth, majority of the population need educating otherwise we are doomed and soon the youth problem will excalate and explode.
80% of Kenyan youth are unemployed, the universities produce an educated labor force of 800,000 per year with no jobs for them. These young men capable of crime too sophiscated for the basic education the cops have. Currently whatever is preventing the crime from going full blown is the availability of drugs, hard and soft, everywhere. Which to some extent it’s facilitated by the same politicians and those in power. The crimes that are emerging are worrisome, gruesome and with a degree of knowledge of criminal procedure, they will be hard to prosecute.
The youth in Kenya are a ticking time bomb, august 2022 might be the trigger.
We are offering the youth an alternative, we are educating them that they don't have to elect the one with the most promises like the government promising 7 years tax haven while it’s impossible for any youth to transact business with the government. We don't have to choose the one with fancy cars and is good at "spoiling" the youth in clubs. If it’s not policy based then as soon as they are elected they'll disappear for five years only to return in the next electioneering year for more lies.
We as a group are a campaign entity, campaigning not for one of our own and for none at all. We are laying the facts bare for everyone to see and we have got the digital media to cover us. We do remind the electorate of last elections cycle which were captured in the print media. for example the current deputy president promised the electorate 7 international stadia in an event attended by the reelected president during their campaigns and not a single one was built, 5 years later, now the deputy is running for presidency, that promise alone won the youth. Whoever sways the youth has it all, we are working hard to ensure the youth know what they are getting into.
we are going to those forums where youth meet, in football tournaments, and dens where they chew khart (it’s now becoming a tradition, khart chewing every evening) and telling them that, the aspiring m.p might buy khart for a month non- stop but the moment he steps in parliament it'll be about scooping back the money he lost in the campaigns and more for next time. Cabinet members are giving up to join politics.
Most of the youth and majorly our targets are university graduates and people upon whom the rest of the villagers look up to. They are currently keeping the wrong company and making poor decisions.
Whenever we talk sense into them and point in the right direction they quickly see the point.
We influence the elite who in turn talk to their village mates, the elderly who mostly are family members and the illiterate who are carried by the wind and an easy target for the politician.
It is working because we are getting the information out there and using a mode of publication that is persuasive to every audience.
any moment the unemployed educated guy rises to talk to his uneducated friends they listen, anytime he is talking he/she is presenting facts in an orderly manner that can be collaborated and winning trust while poking holes in the stories of this lying politicians who promised a million jobs per year online to bring no jobs.
