With this fund, ACPDH will bring more advocacy and innovative ideas to influence sustainable change and solutions.
Empowering human rights and justice among local communities in Burundi.
The human rights development fund is one of the innovative stratagies that ACPDH wants to use as a sustained tool to advance human rights in Burundi among local communities and by promoting the use of technologies as useful tools to communicate and access to relevant human rights information and protection. In the past and till today, human rights protection and promotion systems have never changed and improved and intervenants and partners have to continue using old systems while technology continues to bring more changes as new digital era of political, economic , social and cultural situations around the world. This fund will help us to enter into all this new era of human rights, democracy and justice where citizens will learn more about their rights !
As it's said in the document project, this programme is aiming to create a local and sustained human rights fund initiative to protect human rights defenders and advance human rights situation in the country which has been escalating since many decades and where Civic space has been seen closed since the 2015 political crisis.
The project is also trying to bring innovative systems of child protection , advance women's rights , protect girls and boys rights , to respond to Humanitarian crisis due to climate change and other related crisis like the covid-19 pandemic and human rights violation consesuences..The project looks to contribute specifically to such community challenges and bring local solutions for a lasting period as we want to see this our programme is permanent by getting more and sustained support from partners and donors . Burundi as it's known today is a country in which human rights, justice and democracy are most affected and for all this situations, there is a need to build capacity and strengthening of local NGOs so that we can be strong, resilient and solid to advance human rights and protect human rights defenders and NGOs to help people of Burundi.
Doing our work, we want to see it is very different from.others and it brings sustainable impact among local communities.
In that, creating the human rights development fund for Burundi and in Burundi , this is a new and innovative approach that contributes to advance and strengthening human rights in a unique manner as it is just a new idea which has never thought , heard and launched by none in this country. It is the first born project in terms of protecting and promoting human rights in Burundi using new ideas and approaches and to bring sustainable changes.
As all our responses are Human Rights Community Based Approach ( HRCBA), the following are the steps that our project have to take to achieve our planned impact.
1.Conception of the project as a team
2. Community Consultations and project ideas exchange / analytical and assessment of the problem that needs a solution
3. Drafting, reviewing and publishing the project solution
4. Mobilisation and fundraising
5. Implementation that involves community beneficiaries and other stakeholders including partners
6. Monitoring & Evaluation to collect data and stories, etc that will help to determine the impact of the project
7. Final evaluation and report
Those 7 key steps are very important and are the pillars for any effective action that is working for local communities. Without each other , no effective impact will be seen and that's why ACPDH like other NGOs needs to have an idea that will be tranformed into effective action to create and impulse a great and sustained impact among local communities and which involves everyone including community participation to wards their meaningful Transformation and impactful results as planned before.
