WIMADE Hub is a computer training lab created on a bus & the laboratory will contains computers, courseware & internet.
Liberia is a Country located in West Africa, a country that has been battled with Civil crisis, Ebola Virus Disease all of which had led the country to numerous priorities thereby cause a very poor education system. Liberia education system is among the least on the continent with students unable to adequately pass public exams. 95% of all public schools are without libraries, laboratories, train and qualify teachers thereby denying unprivileged & underserved students from having access to quality education. For most of the kids, they have never held a computer nor do they know what the internet is.
WIMADE Hub is the extension of providing Wireless Technology Lab computer awareness & digital literacy training programs on a bus/movable containers that will be driven to schools & communities training young people computing & introducing them to programs such as Learning Management Systems, Coding, Website Development, Graphic Design, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Usage among others. WIMADE is an acronym for Wireless Information Management to Advance Digital Education.
WIMADE Hub will be a computer training lab created on a bus or in containers that are movable & the laboratory will contains computers, specialized servers, education courseware, Internet, printers and scanners. All of its technology will be powered by photovoltaic cells in the roof of the vehicle.
The main purpose of the program is to provide youths from remote communities with the opportunity to increase their digital literacy thus gaining a wider range of opportunities to become competitive in the labor market. The project’s aim is to promote universal computer literacy among the youths and young girls in the slums and enable them use computer knowledge and skills to seize opportunities that will make them self-reliant. The program also aims at promoting development in these areas by taking STEM to rural & underserved communities, publish & share STEM contents to these rural & underserved.
The world today is a community in which technology is fast becoming an outclassing factor for the replacement of ancient methods of work & development. As a result, it is incumbent on every nation within the global community to follow the course of technology if it intends to be developed.
Computer knowledge & skills is a high priority in this knowledge economy & the labor market. The 21 Century demand the use of computer as its tool for innovation, creativity and productivity. The labor market first priority for employment is having a basic computer knowledge & skills.
Entrepreneurship will increase as young people acquire computer knowledge & skills, thus realising the opportunities the digital age has such as e-learning, e-health, e-commerce, e-government among others.
Since WIMADE Hub is designed as a computer lab on-the-go/mobile, it has the potential of training young people in different locations simultaneously while empowering them with the usage of the computer & internet.

In Liberia, computer training labs are either established & operated on a school campus or in a community.
Students that lack computer literacy on their campuses have to take special classes off campus to private computer training lab which involved in high cost both for the trainings & transportation.
Moving the computer training lab to trainees motivate their ambitious to learn more about computing rather than thinking about the traffic stress & high cost transportations involved.
WIMADE Hub is designed to bridge the digital divide by providing access to computer knowledge & skills on-the-go.
WIMADE Hub mobile computer training lab is equip with solar power energy that provide green tech, low energy consumption computer systems, developer & productive softwares.
WIMADE Hub will be a computer training lab created on a bus & the laboratory will contain computers, specialized servers, education courseware, Internet, printers and scanners. All of its technology will be powered by photovoltaic cells in the roof of the vehicle.
WIMADE Hub will have custom learning softwares for students to have experience of Learning Management System and open source technology.
WIMADE Hub plan for the next 12 months include but not limited to:
1. Create WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab by designing a bus into a computer lab.
2. Provide computer training program in 5 schools and 5 communities.
3. Train more than 1,500 students and 1,000 young people.
4. Attract government, local and international investments into WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab.
5. Have local and international partners that wants to scale up WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab both locally and internationally.
6. Provide comprehensive computer knowledge and skills couple with entrepreneurship.
7. Attract more schools, communities and young people.
WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab will create it presence by having its computer training programs in every county in Liberia and some part of Sierra Leone during its third year of operations. Within the fifth year, WIMADE Hub will scale up to other neighboring countries within its region and other regions that are interested in the WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab business model and also partnering with both local and international institutions, entrepreneurs and investors to replicates its programs and trainings.

WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab will have a specific location that is accessible to several schools and communities where the bus/buses will be examine and maintenance in accordance with the computers and other technologies on the bus.
WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab will be driven to partner schools and communities training register trainees. Registered community member, administration and students will not worry about chasing the computer lab or program neither travelling to urban community but rather prepare themselves in accessing and utilizing the knowledge and skills acquired on the WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab as it drive by.
WT Lab has started the school computer lab pilot phase with the BJ Fahnbulleh Memorial Institute & students pay a fee of US$15/student/semester/5 months & US$30/student/academic year/10 months with a student population of 150.
WIMADE Hub first year of operation will target at least 5 schools with a target trainee population of 1000-1500. Students will be charge US$20/semester - 5 months (US$40/academic year - 10 months). Schools adminstration will include the computer training fees in their information sheet & parents will be responsible to pay the fees as part of the normal school charges.
Within 12 months, WIMADE Hub will target at least 5 schools with at least a population of 1,500 students within different schools and communities.
WIMADE Hub Mobile Computer Lab will be driven to schools and communities providing computer knowledge and skills including hands-on practical to registered students and members of its computer awareness and digital literacy training/e-learning program.
Within the third year, WIMADE Hub would have gain presence within other schools and communities around Liberia and other parts of Africa and form partnership that will provide a customer base of 20,000-50,000 per annual.

We have been operating a computer access center in rural Montserrado County for over three years and empowering young people the usage of the computer and internet.
Our team comprises of passionate techies that want to contribute to the Liberian Society and the World at large. We constantly do more research about the trend in technology and attain workshops and trainings pertaining ICT and Entrepreneurship.
As a leader of my team, I'm part of a large networks and alumni such as the US Exchange Alumni, Swedish Institute Alumni, Tony Elumelu Foundation Alumni among others.

Schools adminstration will include the computer training fees in their information sheet & parents will be responsible to pay the fees as part of the normal school charges.
