The cash prize that if won will help us carry out massive marketing  of our product in the new countries that we intend to capture by December 2021.This prize money will also help us in upgrading the chatbot to accommodate the various indigenous languages in these new markets . This will make our chatbot easy to use .

The mentorship given by the program will not only prepare us for extended scale up but also future investment .

The Annual symposium will give us chance to meet key players in the field who include Investors ,donors .This will in the end avail us a golden chance to forge new partnerships

I am Shamim Nabuuma Kaliisa a co-founder of solercool technologies LLC , I grew up back in Uganda and in my community fishing was the main activity for earning a living and food for almost every family . I grew up seeing my father and brothers go to the near by lake and catch fish , and take it to market .Unfortunately not all this fish could be sold off , the Unsold fish would be brought back home and it was our role as girls to smoke the unsold fish as means of preservation. Although we smoked the fish most of this fish could still not be bought and could end up being lost   The regular  exposed me to respiratory disease that i battle and the cancer that survived .This drove and still drives to have a a world where there is no food waste just because food was unsold 

Solercool  is aware that whether you’re a farmer, Market vendor restaurant, grocery store, convenience store, bakery, coffee shop, cafe, hotel, food truck, or flower store, we know it’s difficult to sell all of your food products by the end of the day and this unsold food which is left to rite that contributes to Global waste .UN estimates ⅓ of all the food produced in the world is wasted. It’s a ridiculous problem that should not be happening when more than 800 million people are currently starving.

Wasted food isn't just a social or humanitarian concern—it's an environmental one. If food goes to the landfill and rots, it produces methane—a greenhouse gas even more potent than carbon dioxide. It is estimated that food waste contributes more than 8% of the global green gas emissions just third after china and United States.

We make, rent and even sell solar powered cold Storage Space to organized farmers groups, food Market vendors groups, restaurant owners in Uganda ,Zambia ,India Colombia  to safely preserve their  edible unsold food .We go on to link them to customers that are   willing to  buy their perfectly good edible un sold food products that are  half price using our Artificial Intelligence powered Chabot  .At the end of the day we kill two birds with one stone ;  edible unsold food owners  make extra money on food that would have actually COST them money to throw away while preserving the planet and environment hence preventing global warming. 

As per the report of 2020, our Annual number of paying customers has been 505000 in all the countries we are working in ,We have managed to achieve this  through partnerships with organizations  that already  have a big number of their customers who are farmer ,Food vendor groups  and restaurant owners and this include Banks , telecommunication companies  .Under such partnerships we work together with our partners to make sure we turn their customers to be our customers . This helps reach very many people in short period of time .

Apart making some profit we are aware that unless we avail our technologies who cant actually afford the current cold-chain technologies then food waste and its  climatic effects wont stop .We therefore make sure we avail rental means for those groups that cant afford to totally buy the our cold-chain technologies .This gives chance to preserve their unsold food as they are linked to buyers for the products that are almost reaching expiry using our chatbot  .

We know that most of the farmers especially in Africa don't have smart phone  to help them , we have made our chatbot accessible by USSD.
