In September 2019, our expert carried out a market study on the activities of women selling food products (tomatoes, sweet potatoes ...) on the KITULU market in the city of BUTEMBO which indicated that 87% have seed capital $ 10 USD and make a small profit of $ 3.37 per day. Household spending of US $ 3 for low-income households reduces their net income to US $ 0.37.
This is why, from August to December 2020, we launched the win-win partnership program with the TRAVAIL-ETUDE program, which supervises 20 students from disadvantaged families of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biodiversity of the Free University of the Great Lake Countries Butembo. This partnership consists not only of allowing them to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the agrifood industry through the production and consumption of local products in order to promote our local industry and also integrate GLOBAL VALUE CHAINS, but also to earn money to pay for their studies (Schools fees).
From February 2020, we supervise young parents and illiterate mothers (o 30 years old) micro-entrepreneurs who sell to small markets (kitulu in Butembo city), province of North-Kivu in DRC, through cash management training workshops (in local tongue).
