3-minute-long video classes for FREE to teach Leadership + English.
English is the global language, but only 26% of the world population is fluent. 5 billion people are out of the world you and I live. From the ones who speak, only a few communicate efficiently, and that's because we lack Leadership.
We ask our students to dedicate 10 minutes a day, following our methodology: watch our video classes (3-minute-long) 3 times. First they understand, then they write everything they see on the screen and third they repeat everything they hear in English in front of the screen.
We've taught more than 30 million classes for students in 181 countries worldwide, and we know this is nothing compared to the impact we can (and want!) to make.
- Personalized teaching, especially in disadvantaged communities
We deliver in 3 minutes what the other courses do in 3 weeks. It is a new application of an existing technology. We got video + gamification + urgency to learn. I started it to thank God after surviving a very bad car accident I had in 2011 (broke bones from toe to head, literally!) by a miracle. The 3-minute-long classes, in my opinion, are our difference from other courses and platforms.
Without Internet connection our students can't access our whole platform. They can download our classes, yes, but they can't be involved in the gamification with Ranking, badges, points, surprises, adaptive learning, quizzes, tests, social network and all the resources we offer, to make the best learning experience of their lives.

We started with www.voceaprendeagora.com (Portuguese to English), then we launched www.tuaprendesahora.com (Spanish to English). Right now we're working on the www.youspeaknow.com (Chinese to English).
In 2019 we plan to launch Indian to English.
In 2020 we plan to launch Arabic to English (if Malala answers the message I sent her this week, maybe Arabic comes before Indian).

Our goal for this year is 180,000 subscribers. By 2021 our goal is 500,000 subscribers. We'll keep serving them with 3-minute-long video classes that teach them how to speak English + Leadership abilities (people skills, effectiveness, attitude, etc).

I think that's the hardest question (and I make it to myself every single day!). Our model is "Freemium" and it's so hard to be sustainable when you offer the most valuable asset (in our case our classes) for free.
The solution we have is our VIP options (live support, Certificate, quizzes, summaries, direct touch with me, etc.) but mannnnn it's a challenge to convert "free" to "VIP". The ones who become VIP are great because we offer the "renew" and also the "Forever VIP" option, which is where our most profit is.
Freemium. As I mentioned before, we sell VIP options for our students who want to learn faster and have advantages. It's a monthly struggle to be sustainable!
Another strategy we put into practice since last year was selling to government. We sold to city halls and that was excellent business. Challenge: they don't have long-term mindset. Solution: work as CRAZY to make everyone acquire the abilities as soon as possible so the beneficiaries have more knowledge by the end of our contract (that has lasted only 1 year!).
We want to surround us by TOP people and TOP organisations. It's nice to travel around Brazil, Latin America and US showing our case and everything, but SHARING time, knowledge, ideas and hard work with people who also dream BIG is something we truly value.
Sustainability. I believe you guys can show us how to ENGAGE better (first step) and then how to SELL better (second step). The third step we've done well, but just for a few people (once 1 and 2 are not 100%), which is not sustainable on the long term.
