Savnt.io PRISM

Savnt.io seeks to remove bias and discrimination from lending, investing, financial, and evaluation systems.
We help launch original startups and concepts from inception to IPO by building startups' financial and operational framework. We build and integrate business systems to reduce the cost of sourcing C-Level hires by enabling services in their place. Our method reduces the cost to launch by over 1000%.
Our platform, PRISM, is a socially conscious, colorblind, apolitical and gender blind AI that determines financial worth rather than the subjective prejudices of humans. It will be trained to view underrepresented applicants as equal to represented applicants.
By analyzing company, financial, technological impact, political and social consciousness data in real time and generating a numerical score for evaluation, PRISM presents the opportunity to install a new standard or process for deciding who is granted access to life changing capital, changing the world for disenfranchised people globally.
Diverse communities have historically been denied access to resources that are readily available to non-diverse communities. According to Harvard Business Review, only 2.3% of VC Funding goes to women, with only 0.64% to BIPOC females. The systemic racism that prevents minorities from benefitting from these resources has now been programmed into evaluation systems, credit bureaus, government grant systems, and financing applications. There are 124 Million minorities in the US alone that are affected by this problem. Over 3 Billion minorities are impacted globally.
Our solution would eliminate bias and discrimination from these systems and more. Our platform, PRISM, is a socially conscious, colorblind, apolitical and gender blind AI that determines "worth" rather than the subjective prejudices, whims or moods of humans. It will be trained to view underrepresented applicants as equal to represented applicants and taught to distinguish flawed and exclusionary processes.
PRISM would install a new numerical score to be used for evaluation instead of the scoring used today that has a built in bias against the cultural, lifestyle and financial realities of the minority, female, and immigrant experiences.

We help startup founders find and build necessary business resources that will function as their operations department by means of our services offering. We then build and integrate SaaS solutions to create a company OS system to fully manage all company facets, such as payroll, HR, credit, sales and marketing.
We also have an AI platform that rates and ranks business capabilities through a proprietary data model which views diverse businesses and founders the same as non-diverse businesses and founders.
The technology takes a critical view at what is presented by the organization versus what is actually achieved. It asks questions that are not normally considered proactively, such as "Why did this company make a browser based app that isn't supported by Chrome?" or "Why is 10% of the company's annual budget earmarked to a lobbying organization?"
The AI would rank this example organization, based off of the failed Loomis Fargo, woefully low as opposed to Stock Exchanges that ranked this stock as "Rank 1" up until its horrendous crash.
The dual process of enabling an organization properly from day one coupled with an AI that would grant hidden access to market insights makes our solution truly unique.
It will serve minorities, immigrants, and women who struggle with obtaining the required resources needed to launch their own concepts. The opportunities to succeed are vastly limited for all three groups, but when a person happens to be all three, the opportunities vanish.
As a Black, Latinx, and Native American woman, I have personally experienced harrowing levels of bias and discrimination for my entire life. So has my female business partner. We not only understand the struggle PRISM serves, but I also have intimate knowledge of exactly how these underrepresented individuals will be impacted.
Our goal is to remove bias from investing decisions by rebuilding the ideal credit profile to measure a different set a variables than today's biased technology. Our hope is that when our system gains momentum and traction, PRISM will become a distinguishing characteristic that openly reveals if a company is “Anti-Innovation,” “Exclusionary,” or “Segregationist.”
Once PRISM is in place, it will shine a big flashing light on companies who don’t have a PRISM Score, don’t advertise their PRISM score, have an abysmal PRISM score or elect not to participate at all. In the Court of Public Opinion and with the Power of Cancel Culture, PRISM Objectors will reveal themselves as Supremacy Supporters, Sympathizers or Sponsors, a death sentence for any reputable company’s reputation in 2021.
PRISM would also prevent dishonest companies from overstating or claiming capabilities within their tech stack or solutions suite that do not exist to manipulate investment funders or game the stock market. It would also bring notice to companies claiming they have a diverse, inclusive workforce only to discover that this is false because diverse people are excluded from important projects, tasks or company outings.
We feel it is up to us to use our experience to rewrite the rules. People of color cannot hide their ethnicity, immigrants can’t hide their accent and women can’t hide their sex. All these things make it amazingly easy to discriminate against them and claim the decision was a company policy or industry standard, especially since underwriters and fund managers are trained to approve or deny loan applications based off “white male norms.”
What if, for the first time in history, lending decisions were determined by social impact, financial potential and originality? Or charitable donations, civic duties and hours worked across multiple jobs? With PRISM, we can install a new methodology that could redistribute wealth at an unfathomable speed.
Candid conversations, research, and planning to continuously check in with these affected communities to confirm our understanding of new or emerging areas are the minimum of how we plan to stay engaged with the demographic we are aiming to serve.

- Provide tools and opportunities for equitable access to jobs, credit, and generational wealth creation in communities of color.
Utilizing AI to remove bias from investing decisions strikes directly at the heart of the mission of the Anti-Racist Technology Challenge because it provides access to economic and equity opportunities for the BIPOC community not available anywhere else.
Access to capital, funding and investment is the only barrier keeping BIPOC communities from reaching the same levels as their White counterparts. PRISM would redefine what fiscal responsibility really means and how its current, limited and biased definition robs disenfranchised people daily.
The power of data is well demonstrated, but it's never been enabled to eliminate bias...until today.
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model.
We selected Prototype because we still need to complete a Beta test on the first version of our solution. We have not earned revenue from our platform, but we have earned revenue on the services end of our business, which is the basis for the AI technology. The algorithm that unites the data and generates the numerical score for evaluation will need to be rebuilt to work seamlessly, which is why we selected Prototype.
- A new application of an existing technology

The technology is state of the art. It utilizes Quantum AI, Blockchain and Big Data simultaneously and installs a new standard for funding evaluations. It also streamlines startup operations by pointing to the necessary solution needed to fix inefficiencies.
Currently, investors use several tools to evaluate investments, but they are extremely limited or incomplete which leads to bad investments and lost opportunities. BIPOC companies have no way of knowing if the actions of investors will lead to successful outcomes for their business. A transparent yet secure solution to both problems is solved with PRISM.
As financiers seek for alternative means to measure “worth” outside of a credit or Paydex score or portfolio growth metrics, PRISM will provide a new, advanced AI methodology to do so.
We believe other firms are looking at quantum AI capabilities in FinTech in a less effective way.
While they build quantum computers, we focus on quantum AI in tandem with Blockchain, so instead of the brute force attack of systematically enumerating all possible candidates for the solution and checking whether each candidate satisfies the problem’s statement as nearly all Blockchain BD Quantum solutions do, PRISM would instantaneously "know" the correct candidate, allow the data exchange and deliver a numerical score for evaluation.
Our Founders have launched, elevated, or diversified some of the most successful companies in the world, so we have a deep understanding of the technical, operational and financial challenges that startups and investors face. This makes us uniquely qualified and positioned for success.

Our Founders have worked in nearly every department in phenomenally successful companies in Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Engineering and Business Affairs. We have launched, elevated, or diversified some of the most successful companies in the world, such as AMEX, MGM, DHL, LivingSocial, LexisNexus and T-Mobile, so we have a deep understanding of the technical, operational and financial challenges that startups and investors face.
Jazz Jones, our Founder & CEO, is a Black, Latinx, and Native American MBA educated woman that has experienced the full brunt of bias and discrimination to a greater extent than most. Her experience, qualifications, intelligence and guidance were all overlooked because of her physical appearance and background.
Our Co-Founder and CSO, Marjorie DeHey, JD/MBA, is an accomplished attorney with global company formation experience who witnessed the plight of women on a worldwide scale as she fought for recognition and acceptance for herself and other women.
We also understand the realities of quantum computing that our competitors do not. While others spend their energy building a quantum computer, we focus on quantum AI in tandem with Blockchain. Instead of the brute force attack of systematically enumerating all possible candidates for the solution and checking whether each candidate satisfies the problem’s statement as all other Blockchain BD Quantum solutions do, PRISM would instantaneously "know" the correct candidate, allow the data exchange and deliver a numerical score for evaluation.
The elegance and efficiency of our platform is proudly female. This makes us uniquely qualified and positioned for success.
Both of our Founders are Females from diverse backgrounds.
Our Founder & CEO, Jazz Jones, is Black, Latinx, and Native American. Our Co-Founder & CSO, Marjorie DeHey, is White. We represent what we hope the world will become: inclusive, diverse and unique.
Our COO, Mark Randall, is a Russian, Romanian and Italian male. All future hires at Savnt.io will be from a variety of countries, languages, and ethnicities so that our internal team represents the communities we are attempting to serve.
- Organizations (B2B)
We are applying to MIT Solve because this program enables tech entrepreneurs from any background or ethnicity to conquer global social issues through innovation. We believe MIT will be a powerful ally in changing perceptions of current evaluation, lending, and financial systems.
With Solve's help, we will show that the current financial system is broken, outdated, biased and too costly when we visualize how much money is lost by investing in concepts made by, for and with the same type of non-diverse people. It robs diverse and non-diverse communities of wealth, opportunity, and valuable experiences.
MIT Solve can help us to redistribute wealth at a scale that was unfathomable before today. Education and Data have made it all possible, which MIT is known for having in spades, so to become one of your Solvers would be a personal dream come true for our Founders.
Solve will also reveal to many investors, funds, government agencies, and startups that there is a pragmatic yet innovative solution that can dissolve the racial wealth gap that keeps the world in a constant fight with itself.
MIT Solve and Savnt.io can truly change the world together. Help us change reality.
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development, etc.)
- Financial (e.g. improving accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Monitoring & Evaluation (e.g. collecting/using data, measuring impact)
- Product / Service Distribution (e.g. expanding client base)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design, data analysis, etc.)
We'd love to partner with a recruiting firm that sources diverse candidates as we build out our internal team.
We can certainly use help on knowing exactly what and how to pitch to investors as needs are constantly changing yet the people responsible for approving investments are extremely similar.
PR is a desperate need as public knowledge of our capabilities, the markets we serve and the problems we solve are not well known outside of our personal networks.
Any partners that can assist us with measuring impact and collecting data will be immensely valuable to us.
Due to the small number of current clients we have, expanding our client base is our most important need outside of finishing the platform itself. This also highlights our need for technology partners who can help us craft the platform quickly for public consumption.
We'd love to partner with Solve Members, MIT faculty and initiatives and investment funds that are actively seeking ways to diversify their sponsorships or portfolio.
We'd also love to partner with Dun and Bradstreet, Crunchbase, Bloomberg, and SEC Edgar for trusted data integrations.

Racism and discrimination are key contributing factors in the onset of disease. It is also responsible for increasing disparities in physical and mental health among Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). Socioeconomic factors associated with racism will continue to pose risks to both physical and mental health unless we all work together to eradicate the racial wealth gap.
PRISM would provide a socially conscious, colorblind, apolitical and gender blind AI that puts the health of our world at the forefront of its mind. It would be trained to understand how financial security impacts the advantaged and disadvantaged alike and would constantly improve itself to ensure the changes remain positively impactful.
With the RWJ Foundation Prize, we could advance our solution to become the de facto standard for evaluation, lending and investing decisions while streamlining strategic action through the creation of generational wealth for the BIPOC community.

Because American Student Assistance® (ASA) is committed to helping students know themselves, know their options, and make informed decisions to achieve their education and career goals, PRISM can help the ASA to find inclusive programs, corporations or government agencies to expand its mission and reach.
PRISM would do this by analyzing financial, company, technological impact, political, and social consciousness data to generate numerical scores for evaluation. Our hope is that when our system gains momentum and traction, PRISM will become a distinguishing characteristic that openly reveals if a company, agency, or program is “Anti-Innovation,” “Exclusionary,” or “Segregationist.”
Savnt.io, our services solution, is also committed to educating young entrepreneurs from idea inception to IPO which helps them to find themselves, their niche and their mission so they can achieve their desired learning and career goals.

The Elevate Prize for Antiracist Technology would advance our solution to heights that would be nearly impossible without it.
People of color cannot hide their ethnicity, immigrants can’t hide their accent/name/origins and women can’t hide their sex. With PRISM, we can install a new methodology that could redistribute wealth at an unfathomable speed and ensure an antiracist and equitable future in the US for all. PRISM provides a socially conscious, colorblind, apolitical and gender blind AI that is trained to advance inclusion, literacy and economic opportunity.
Although we are not a non-profit, we'd be happy to form one specifically for the purpose of participating in this Challenge and Prize.

As GM works to become the most inclusive company in the world, it would more than makes sense for the company seeking to make the FinTech world more inclusive to diverse people to partner together. With GM's help, we will show that the current financial system is broken, outdated, biased and too costly when we visualize how much money is lost by investing in concepts made by, for and with the same type of non-diverse people. It robs diverse and non-diverse communities of wealth, opportunity, and valuable experiences.

The fact that 97.7% of all VC Funding is reserved for White or Asian males and 93% of all funders are males that do not understand products, services, or concepts that aren't made specifically for them, makes the Innovation for Women Prize a perfect advancement tool for the PRISM solution.
